Bird's Nest Bed & Breakfast
The smell of musty mold and mr clean was over powering. There were 4 women sharing a room, barely enough room to walk around. The cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable. We stayed 15 mins and left. No common room to use and breakfast was going to be delivered that night and we could either eat it in the room or our car!!! Really!!!!! Luckily we were able to get a nice room at Dear Lake motel, that is very clean and a full hot breakfast for not much more then this nasty place. Beware when booking this place.

Bird's Nest Bed & Breakfast
Comfortable bedding, pet-friendly and welcoming accomodation. Our room was a suite (including a large TV and sofa bed) and had easy access to the outdoor garden which was ideal for taking out our dog. Breakfast was included which was convenient for our early drive the next morning. The common living room with fireplace was very cosy.

The hosts were really great. Did their level best to make our fortnight stay the best it could be in their splendid facility. Home from home was the feeling.

We spent 2 nights at the Birds Nest BnB, the place is run down, dirty and one of the worst BnBs in Newfoundland. The lack of outside maintenance, lawn was not cut, shrubs etc. The rooms were okay but the walls, floors, doors all dirty, esp the trim very grubby. Breakfast was a continental meal delivered in the late afternoon the night before. Croissants, fruit, and tea biscuits. Instant coffee. The whole place needs some major tlc and cleaning, sorry we stayed there.

Nice bedroom and decent price but an unhappy experience overall. At one point there was a violent interaction at the front door (next to my room) that had me shaking with the door locked - it was a nightmare worthy of the police.Before my arrival I also sent a package to their address - with prior approval - but the whole time I was there they claimed it hadn't arrived. In fact it had (post-office proof)! They would not pick it up and left me stranded without my gear. The post office eventually sent it back to me at full cost.

Room was nice. The home itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The owner was very helpful. He followed us to the airport to drop off the car and brought us back to the b&b and dropped us off at the airport as part of his service.

Our flight was cancelled and we had to find somewhere to stay for the night. This was the last room available in Deer Lake for the night. It was very clean and welcoming. We appreciated the ensuite private bathroom. The wifi and cable TV. We were offered free rides anywhere we wanted to go locally and a ride back to the airport in the morning, where our luggage was loaded and unloaded for us.The room did have ceiling fan and one window which opened. But we found it very warm as it had been a really hot day.

Clean, comfortable beds. My sleeps were great. Host was very helpful in finding things to do in Deer Lake while i had to fill in time for following steps of my journey. Host did all transfers for me as well as picking me up from places when i walked too far to walk home". Much appreciated extra."
