Ava's Appletree - Natural Parenting Store
Hidden gem in the beaches! This lovely store on Kingston road has such an amazing selection of wood and low(er) waste sustainability-made toys. Many options of wooden toys, and having many of these in our house I can vouch for their quality and for the entertainment and creativeness they spur with our kids. They have many options in varying price range but expect to pay a bit for more handmade and wood craft toys that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Great selection of baby products and gear with a lovely selections of toys, books and clothes for older kids as well. I love the flexibility they provide of shopping in store or online. If you're looking for quality products, whether as a gift for your friends or family, this is the place to go! I've been shopping here for many years now. The owner is a local mom and very friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable, as are her staff. Go check it out!

Our daughter thrives in the environment that we've set up with her, using toys from Ava's. In providing her with open ended toys that are simplistic, it allows for open ended play which allows her imagination to run free. This will breed creativity now but also set a foundation for creativity in her future.Ava's offers a great selection of these simple toys with no bells and whistles (yes that's a good thing). We've purchased many Nin toys from here and our daughter loves them.

Beautiful collection of all things Grimm’s and wooden toys! This store is definitely a hidden gem in Toronto that I’m happy we found. The Grimm’s blocks was a definite hit this Christmas. And we picked up these beautiful wooden trees as well.A very welcoming environment in the store. The customer service is truly impeccable. Will definitely be returning to continue to grow my son’s collection over the years! Thank you Ava Apple Tree! :)

We've ordered Grimm's wooden toys from Ava's Appletree on two occasions, and are very satisfied with their service both times.They shipped very soon after we placed the order, and it arrived the next day (from Toronto to Ottawa!) Very good prices and huge selection. I see our family purchasing toys from them for years to come.

Ava's Appletree - Natural Parenting Store
Wonderful, knowledgeable staff who helped to guide towards age-appropriate toys with awareness of potential choking hazard parts. Toys are of high quality, with an educational or learning component to every piece - perfect for every Waldorf or Montessori home. It's only been a week since I discovered Ava's, but I've already put in two orders and they certainly won't be my last!
