Roncesvalles Animal Hospital

We've been going to Roncesvalles Animal Hospital for years and they've been helpful with several of our cats and dogs over time. They don't have inflated rates like many other vets nearby and they always show great care with our animals. Highly reccomend!

Dr Hana and her staff are incredible. They have seen all of my pets and have given us the best service. She is compassionate and providesconstructive feedback. She will give you multiple options and is very upfront about costs and when able provides you the low cost options. My pets are in incredible hands with her and her vet techs. We are very grateful to her and her team.

Dr Henry and Dr Hana always take such great care of our four-legged friends. We started going here when we adopted our first dog 10 years ago, and they are still caring for her. Since then we've added 2 more doggos to our pack, and the team at RAH has welcomed them with open arms -- despite having to adapt to changes during Covid. All the techs know my pets by name, and reception staff even know my voice when I call in. Their service is professional and honest, and everything is always clearly explained before we make a decision on care. I never feel pressured to accept a treatment I don't agree with. They've even responded to email inquiries (at no cost!) when I wasn't sure if a concern was worth coming in for an exam.One special thing Dr Henry did that I will never forget, is make time in his schedule to stay late in order to help my beloved senior cat cross the rainbow bridge when she woke up very very sick on a weekend. Even though Covid protocols said no pet parents in the clinic, Dr Henry allowed me to be by my girl's side until the end, and gave me lots of time afterwards to say my goodbyes. They even took an ink dip of her paw prints, and enclosed it in a card that came in the mail a couple of weeks later. The care and compassion from this clinic is second to none, and I always recommend people visit RAH if they're looking for an excellent (and affordable!) vet for their pet.

Both of my cats are seen by the vets here and honestly they have been amazing! They explain things to you well, they ask questions and try to understand your pets the way you do (which to me is seriously important).Today has been one of the most difficult days of my adult life. This team has truly given me peace of mind, love, care and compassion. I am so unbelievably grateful to have had these guys guide me through my boys end of life choices. Everything I needed, everything my kitty needed and everything in between. This is not an easy day by any means but I just want to say that this team will do anything in their power to help your pet get the best care possible. I will continue to bring my other boy here and can rest assured that my pets are cared for as if they are their own pets.Thankyou guys so much from the bottom of my heart for everything you do.

Dr. Schwarz is excellent! She takes the time to educate pet parents. She taught us about the anatomy of our pup’s ear and how to clean/administer his meds properly. She then made us return the demonstration which helped us feel more confident in caring for his ear infection. Highly recommend this place!

ZERO rating!!! Our experience June 17, 2023. Today our 10 year old pittie who has been a patient at the RAH for 8 years was turned away because she was late. Our girl was not allowed in even though she was hot and had travelled from Hamilton. The many road closures, some of which were not announced, added to travel time. In my opinion, the Vet refused to see Harley as she's an older dog and therefore won't be adding to RAH business for much longer. I am alerting the Vetinary College in writing of the total disregard and lack of treatment for our loving, aged, rescue dog.To all patients and those looking for a vet for their beloved pets, please don't be swayed by the $50 discount and free nail clipping. Our experience today has left us in total disbelief that a doctor will do this knowing the animal's history. Please note no later time was offered. Our pets are family! Shame on you RAH!

I have been coming for the past year and a half and am so glad I switched to them. They’re so knowledgeable front desk staff is kind, vet assistant is so kind and helpful. They’re very patient with my one cat who has to take calming meds before coming as he is hates the vet visits but they have made him so comfortable here and I’m so glad they offered the calming meds to my cat Toby before coming to his appointments. Everything is wonderful.

Had an incredible experience with our new puppy. They went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and had so much love for our boy! I’m so glad we found a vet like this right away. Highly recommend

Dr Meaghan and vet tech Michelle are just wonderful! And front desk is awesome too! They not only explain options when your pet is unwell but listen to work within your goals. I’ve owned pets for many years and they are caring and reasonable, both attributes together are hard to find. Thank you for all you do!
