Amica Swan Lake

Great place for seniors. Excellent meals

Amica Swan Lake is a well run seniors home. They are curtious & nice to residents & visitors. There food is of excellent quality, tasty with a varied menu. During COVID-19 they had no breakout they take proper health & safety measures. They have made accommodations for visitors while keeping social distancing policies. This is a picture of the gazebo they modified to assist in this regard.

I am so very thankful for how quickly the Amica Swan Lake staff responded to our urgent request for help for my mother. Although she was on the waiting list for a permanent room, after two falls within one week, it was far too unsafe for her to live on her own any longer. They were able to take her in as a short stay resident to help her recover from her falls, with the hope that her permanent room will be available soon. It is such a wonderful peace of mind to know that she has the care she needs 24 x 7. At almost 91, this was a very difficult move for her, but the Amica staff were so welcoming, which made her transition much easier. This is only her second week there, but she is settling in very well. She loves the food, and she is very comfortable in her room. She keeps telling me that the people are so good to her. The location of Amica Swan Lake is absolutely beautiful!!

They keep removing negative comments & try to filter all the positive ones when it's the worst home to ever exist. There's a lot of stuck-up staff working in this place. Don't bother applying here since all they do is treat you poorly, boss you around & never stick to their words. They're liars, theives & worst human beings you could possibly interact with. No one has manners in this place. They're very unprofessional and ill-mannered. I would really suggest you staying far away from this place, as far as possible. They're so beyond racist and beyond unwelcoming. This is Canada and they should learn to respect others. Please stay away & go to another home.

Not a great organization to work with after 5months I still didn't get paid. This place manages by air. They just pushing you away

Amazing place to live. All the staff is wonderful and always there when you need them. Couldn't ask for a better place for our dad. Clean and always activities everyday. Number #1 in my books. :)

My Dad lives there. Nicely maintained. Friendly staff. He complains of the food but I've eaten there a lot. It's good, but it's just not what mom used to make. Can't blame a guy who at 90 still wants what he was used to.My dad is very happy, has made many friends.

We have recently moved our mother into Amica Swan Lake and the experience so far has been wonderful. There is a culture of friendliness and care that extends from the management to the staff that has made this transition so much easier than we expected. After some expected hesitation about leaving her residence, our mother is now telling her friends about how pleased she is with her new “home”.

Grandmother lives here. Place used to be great. They recently sold out and everything has gone done from there. My grandmother has to take showers at 5am or wait until late in the evening, if she is sick she is not allowed to leave her room and then they forgot to bring her food. Horrid place...
