This Review is dedicated to ALL The staff at EVERY LEVEL at Greisbach Chartwell: your strength, compassion, true spirit of caring and a type of unconditional love for your residents was proven day and night over the past 9 months especially, since this virus came to our CityI had no idea, nor did anyone else in 2020 what would become of COVID 19 as the year progressed. It got less predictable and more contagious as the year went on. We had shutdowns early on in all businesses, yet the ones that hurt the most were the ones that caused us all the greatest pain of all, and that was being unable to be with, and help cope, those that have been the closest to us all our lives, our Parents, and Loved ones. These were the ones for years telling us things will be ok and, stay strong, we will persevere!I will say COVID-19 Did not take our mother from us! But it did take us away from her. As for anyone with a loved one in a care facility, it was the most challenging and difficult time in my life trying to find a way to explain to my loved one why I couldn’t spend time with her, or go for a drive for a change of scenery. But as most people that are caring and understanding, we (my family) did what was asked of us, we called everyday, talked about the positives and ensured one way or the other things will get better soon. For my mother (Helen) things didn’t get better, she did pass away during this horrible virus BUT, COVID was not the cause. So we didn’t have to go down that path of becoming another statistic or family hit by this terrible virus. My heart truly goes out to you all!The entire staff at the Greisbach location, since Mom moved in over a year ago, have been nothing less than fantastic, supportive and true hero’s to not only those residents, but also to the other staff and to your communities! The jobs you had done everyday, were not just what was in your job descriptions, you all went above and beyond what you were paid to do, or even asked to do. I know that you can never hear it enough, nor should you ever go without hearing it regularly...you are all true hero’s in my eyes, my families eyes and most importantly...in my mothers eyes. If I had the space to write down ever persons names here I would, and yet it wouldn’t be fair because I know I would leave someone out. So, from the maintenance team, the nursing team, the administration team the Kitchen staff and team all the way to Lita, Sharon, Moira and Coby. Thank you all for what you do everyday! Not because you have to, but because you want to. I can’t explain in words what you people have done for my mother and the piece of mind you gave us that our Mom was taken care of day and night.I also have to give a couple other special people a virtual hug for how much they meant to Mom and to us: ANNZZ, ELLINOR, WINNY AND BRODER. mask or no mask BRODER you always brought a smile with you every time I seen you, and couldn’t help putting a smile on my face and moms. She mentioned everyday how great you all were. Especially with everything else going on .... you were that hand to hold, that voice to reason with, and that support line for families when we couldn’t be there.I know I had the very fortunate gift of working with you all for a period of time throughout the pandemic as a screener and assisted with some front desk duties, and I must let you know, it is a very caring and sharing family that the Chatwell Family has, ESPECIALLY the one known as GREISBACH!Thank You All so much. Not only did I come to appreciate the staff but also many of the residents, I feel that I had a connection with all of them in one way or another. And I have promised many that I will continue to visit, (when Allowed of course) to catch up on gossip, stories and pub nights. God Bless all the staff and residents. Stay safe, healthy and I look forward to planting the spring gardens with you in the courtyard with some new “Raised Garden beds” that will be donated to you in Memory of Helen Demchuk, as well as 2 Benches that will make visits even more special this spring.

I think food is one of the most important things for seniors. I have very much enjoyed the meals. Every box is ticked for nutrition. I love that fish is an option and the dining staff are very obliging. I enjoy playing cards and games. The entertainment has been very enjoyable. I love my suite. I want to give a shout out to the staff in all departments. They are always cheerful and helpful.

My mother has been staying here in the memory care unit for quite a few months now. The staff( not all) are very inexperienced and this facilty is far from what I expected and had wished for better for my mother. I could go on and on and on but the best thing I can say is if you are thinking of placing your loved one in this facility RUN, don't walk away from it as fast as you can. She will hopefully be moving soon if she gets out alive that is with the care she receives there.

The staff at Chartwell Griesbach have been extremely helpful moving my aunt into their senior living facility. One note is that my aunt is 100 years old and they provide excellent services for her. She is always commenting on how good the meals are in the facility. They also check on her 2 to 4 times a day and have medical staff 24 seven for when she has a health concern. she has her own apartment with a great view of the city. This makes it very comfortable for her lifestyle. I highly recommend this facility as they take the worry out of look after my Aunt!

My father has been a resident of Chartwell Griesbach for 5 years and the dedication, caring and kindness goes far beyond expectations. The site provides many activities for the residents and families to join and enjoy. Chartwell has given me the piece of mind knowing that my father is being well taken care of. The staff go beyond knowing my father but also call me by my name when I arrive to visit and partake in activities with my father. I would highly recommend Chartwell for caregiver for your loved ones.

My Mother moved in a little over a week ago. The staff here have been amazing in making sure she has everything she needs. Many thanks to Andrea Bezanson, mom's AHS case manager, Stephen Blackie the general manager, the AHS staff and one SHINING STAR in particular, Sharon Pandza! It is because of Sharon that we made the decision to move mom here. If we have questions, she has answers, and responds so quickly! The facility is lovely, mom's suite is lovely and she has enjoyed a couple of activities. I feel as though we have found the right place for her

My father with mobility and memory problems recently was recently moved to Chartwell Griesbach and on the most part the staff and friendly and service is good. However, he does have some dementia and memory issues and two issues I have with the staff are the following. 1. The calling system for help relies on a wrist bracelet that calls the nurse on call. Within two weeks this bracelet has not worked for multiple days on end for my father. They got the 'maintenance and IT guy' (some young summer student) to simply swap the batteries on the bracelet and it was working for a few days then died again. Like are you kidding me? Guys so lazy he puts a used battery into the device my father needs in case of emergency or when calling nurses for help. 2. Because his bracelet is not working on two separate incidents he has called 911 and an ambulance has come to take him to emergency. The most recent time the nurse did not alert us that he was admitted to the nearest hospital. We only found out when we tried to visit that same day. That is truly unacceptable. For that we will be making a formal complaint with the head nurse, Chartwell itself, and if it continues will be contacting AHS to escalate. These guys seem to be hit or miss and when the care matters they arent doing there jobs.
