Rockwell Lounge Stratford
Best restaurant in Stratford by a landslide. The experienced chefs carefully select ingredients and menu items that create a one of a kind experience. Each dish is deliciously crafted in an open concept kitchen, with the dining area having a relaxed speak easy vibe. The drinks, food, service and atmosphere is next level. Please enjoy this place as much as we did!

Fabulous place with amazing food!We came for dinner after not so great theatrical experience. But even after appetizers, our unhappy mood was gone!You can not expect much from fresh oysters, but mignonette and sauces were such good that we were pleasantly surprised.Steak tartar was delicious, as well as beef cheek.Astonishing service and more than reasonable price!Highly recommended! If you are at Stratford or passing it, it's worth stopping at this fabulous restaurant!

We had the lovely opportunity to dine at Rockwell twice: in June and most recently in January and both visits were spectacular.The first visit we enjoyed offerings from their regular menu. We ordered the bone marrow and beef tartare followed by a perfectly cooked striploin with (more!) bone marrow and a perfectly housemade fettuccine. Despite not being huge sweets people, we had to order dessert. A light lemony cheesecake was the perfect finish.Our second visit to Rockwell featured their Posh Nosh experience. Exquisitely well thought-out small dishes that allowed us to truly taste and experience the creativity of Chef Jack Beers and his culinary team.The staff and service was absolutely astoundingly amazing. They are so in-tuned with body language, and kept the food and drinks coming! Also, I really appreciate clean utensils for each new dish.If you ever have the chance, do check out Rockwell. Such a great find in a city that already has so much to offer.

Super cool upscale lounge with a great dinner and drink menu. Every cocktail and every dish was exceptional. From start to finish the Rockwell was a great experience…this our new favourite restaurant!

The owner said they feel this lounge is one of Stratfords best kept secrets. It won't stay this way for long. The prices are on the higher end but worth every penny, this is fine dining and the food is expertly prepared, from presentation to the flavour profile. Each dish was design on purpose. The open concept kitchen allows you to watch the chefs at work, and the atmosphere is comfortable inviting and formal all at once, this would've been an exclusive cigar lounge in days of yore. The caveat is that the chefs deliver you food and explain the flavors and combinations that are delivered... Amazing! (The busier I got the less time they had to explain but they still tried)

We had such an incredible culinary experience. Our knowledgeable and friendly server Collette walked us through the menu as we sat in their Casual Chic Restaurant. The food was the quality of fine dining but the atmosphere was casual. We had the Oysters which had a variety of accoutrements , A mignonette, horseradish, mango habanero and cucumber granita which was my personal favourite. The tuna ceviche was light, with this lovely lime flavor without all the acidity, it had lovely texture components and balanced flavor. We had a couple lovely drinks by mixologist Alex Archer with an incredible presentation. We had the local striploin and bone marrow for dinner! The entire meal was mouth watering, with the extra flavor from the bone marrow and the port jus there is nothing quite like it around! This was by far the best experience I have had in years and I highly recommend anyone to go and try it out!

This place was very lowkey, quiet and very nice inside. My partner and I are not from around here and found this place looking up good spots to eat in Stratford. We called to make a same day reservation for our anniversary at 6pm and the host was very pleasant over the phone. He mentioned a private party would be coming in around 7:30pm but we wouldn’t be rushed out and that it was important for them to know we were celebrating an anniversary. The staff was welcoming when we came in and gave us a nice corner booth. The drinks were heavenly and the food was divine! We ordered their delicious pear and blue cheese flatbread that was a 10/10, alongside oysters that came with a delicious cucumber slush for an appetizer. I ordered their shrimp fettuccine made with dill and lemon and my partner ordered the sirloin steak with bone marrow and potatoes. Both meals were perfectly seasoned and cooked well, compliments to the chef. The reason for the 4 stars is although they said they wouldn’t rush us out over the phone, we in fact did feel rushed near the end of our dining experience. We were both disappointed to have not been given a dessert menu considering I love desserts and find it to be the best part of any dining experience. As we were celebrating a special occasion, I felt it was a given to expect dessert after our meals especially as the host made it seem as though they would do something special for us. We were genuinely upset nothing ended up happening and left the restaurant feeling a bit underwhelmed by our experience.

Rockwell is the best lounge in Stratford, wether it’s for drinks or food, you know that this team of very talented staff have you covered. Best steak in town, best house martini around, and some of the most welcoming staff I’ve ever encountered. The place to be for wonderful food and great environment.
