Quaint little bookstore near the University of Ottawa campus. The employee there was very helpful and immediately knew where to find the textbook I was looking for. Wide range of texts and books. Kind of dark inside, but overall a good experience!

really nice book shop. was a very pleasent experience buying textbooks from there. it was clear the owner hired extra staff in anticipation of students first week. had a lot of cool looking stuff, wish i had time to stick around.

I have been collecting books for decades. There are two used book stores that outshine all others in Ottawa. All Books on Rideau St. is the best for soft cover books (paperbacks, trade paper) and Benjamin is the best for hard cover.BB have very good pricing and a good selection. They are also open to discount for bulk purchases. When buying used hardcover start your search here.

The hours are till 530pm... its 4pm.. not sure when this bookstore is actually open??? A note saying they had to close early (assuming they haven't gone out of business or something) would be appreciated....

Very nice! I bought 5 astronomy books here. I think I will come for so many times. Books are the most expensive but the cheapest decoration of the house!

Came to get a textbook assigned for a class. Very courteous service. Prices are reasonable (actually for my book it's cheaper than that big online store we all love to hate). Due to Covid, you line up outside with mask on, and they come to ask what book you want, and they take the book to show you and you pay by tap. Very smooth and easy. Too bad you can't go in and browse their collection of what seems to be old treasures of books.

I was pretty flustered because of a misunderstanding regarding different editions of the same book. Staff took the time to explain everything to me and helped me find what I needed for a course. They are knowledgeable and professional, and I'm happy to continue getting my university books there.

Was made to wait at the door with no other customers in the store. Employee (older gentleman) made sure to shut the door behind him and speak to me outside instead of inviting me in. Was told that the book I needed wasn't in yet and to check back in a few days, then he quickly disappeared back inside. It is my opinion that University of Ottawa professors should not source their books from this storefront, as students will be met with unattentive service and feel like their putting the staff out.
