The Glen Tavern
I love the uniqueness of their menu that they change every so often and the food is just delicious. The lamb chops and gnocchi were amazing. The coconut cream pie and the crème brûlée were also great as a final serving. Would 100% recommend as a night out dinner!

The food and drinks are just amazing. My first time visiting and I have to agree it's worth the splurge. Great service overall. I did have trouble finding the place at first as it's a bit hidden but luckily a quick call to the restaurant sorted me out.

We've been to this restaurant several times in the past and, I must say, the quality is just not the same. We had reservations for my husband's birthday on this occasion. The service was professional and attentive however our dinner felt rushed. The cocktails and appetizers were great but the main courses - rack of lamb and fettuccine beef medallion - were both over-salted. Overall disappointed with the quality of the food.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner this weekend and had such a lovely experience! The restaurant is cozy and romantic and the food was delicious. I got the halibut and he got the lamb loin- both were so yummy we ended up sharing dishes! Our server was really nice and the cocktails were sooo good, the New York sour was my favourite. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

Our hidden gem for date night. We’ve been going here for years for our occasional date night. The place is very quaint. The vegs they served are what’s in the market for the season. The food is always satisfying to our cravings. As mentioned, we’ve been going here for year’s, now an extended to this branch opened in Orangeville - Greystones Restaurant and Lounge.

Update: After trying their oysters to go, Lindsay and Dani were pretty adamant about trying the main course so we came back. We got the burrata and oysters for apps, they were great! For mains, we went with the Lamb, Steak and Risotto, the steak was perfect. The Australian lamb was really good as well and so was the risotto with chicken breast. The sides were full of flavour and paired well with the mains. For desserts we got the 3 on the menu, the espresso was good but the pie and Creme brûlée were delicious! It was a great visit and a must try place for good food, drinks and great service!Old review: I’ve been wanting to come here for a while but got a chance to do some oysters to go today! They have really good reviews and that’s why it’s been on my top restaurants to visit. Lindsay was super cool and proud to work here. The oysters were really fresh, shucked well and the condiments paired together well! Can’t wait to come back to dine in and try their menu!

WHAT TO TRY??The steak is a popular dish here. Sitting at just 7 ounces, you can appreciate the sides to the dish as well.The gnocchi is also a good appetizer. They don’t use potato in their gnocchi so they taste softer without the grainy texture.The salmon is not bad too. You get it medium rare which usually is not a common way of cooking the salmon. But I personally prefer it medium rare because then you don’t have the salmon overly cooked and dry. It’s like a pan seared salmon but it’s just lightly rare in the center.Their famous dessert is the coconut cream pie. This restaurant is actually owned by two of the partners for Scaramouche so their famous coconut cream pie is also served here! You don’t have to go downtown for a taste of the pie anymore.This place is really cozy and have a back country feel of an ambiance. This restaurant is inside a house that is over a hundred years old and it’s relatively tucked away with all the houses that surround this restaurant. Great restaurant to go to if you want a great dinner but don’t want the attention of the city life distracting your night.LAST TIP?!I recommend to make reservations because this restaurant is not that big and fills up pretty quickly for dinner! Book for your special occasions like a birthday or an anniversary.

We had a big family dinner here and were not disappointed. Kind staff and delicious options. I was not impressed by the extremely limited vegetarian options, but the coconut cream pie makes up for it in strides. That pie is perfect. This is definitely an expensive restaurant, so be wary before going. My sister said she loved the steak despite not usually enjoying red meat for any folks interested in the non veg options.

Always a wonderful dining experience. Great food and staff. The patio is lovely. We had cocktails (Lavender Haze and the Old fashioned), Calamari, Peppercorn Fettuccine, Duck, and the coconut cream pie. All excellent!

About as perfect a meal as you can get. Same price as The Keg but so much better. Cannot recommend enough. Staff is also great and attentive. Good wine selection. Overall a great meal.
