We had a really great time at the Friday Harbor House restaurant although it took us awhile to find the entrance. We started out with morning cocktails which was good and refreshing. The boyfriend had the avocado toast which he said was good. I had the beyond burger and boy let me tell you, i have my fair share of plant based burgers and this is THE BEST!!$25 can be steep for a burger but if it's that good I will be back to Friday Harbor just to have it again!!Burger was juicy, and just full of flavor. Amazing! The service was so friendly and quick. Since it's fall season the deck is fully closed so seats are limitedWhat a way to start our day! We'll definitely be back!

Great location and really good appetizers and cocktails, but the ambiance for dinner left something to be desired. It is a very light space and lightly decorated and furnished. Too light for an intimate dinner meal. It was also too crowded in terms of table spacing - way too close to your neighbors. We expected a darker (at least in terms of decor, furniture, and lighting) space. All the windows are great, but it is too light inside for what is portrayed in the advertising as a cozy dinner locale.Lastly, while the appetizers were great (we had the crispy brussels and bread) the main course we both had, Filet mignon, left quite a bit to be desired. The steak was, in places, a bit dry (ordered medium rare) and it was over-salted. If the meat can't stand on its own as savory, tender, and juicy, then it isn't aged and/or prepared right. There was a bone marrow sauce that didn't really help and seemed more to cover up the dry meat.Anyway, it's a great place for appetizers and cocktails, likely even better in the summer when you can sit outside, but for a meal we were not sold.

In 50 years, this is the first time I immediately went to a grocery store & found something decent to eat right after dropping $120 on dinner. After a 40 minute wait, our $22Crab dip arrived. Less than 5 teaspoons of dip. Cast iron square container had a scant 1/4 deep schmear of dip. We each had 2 bites. Several other tables around us received the same. We all were looking at each other. There was total chaos in the dining room with only one server as the other server abandoned us to go work the bar.Another 35 minutes passed (no refills of water or tea...) & I'm still waiting on my salad. Tables are getting portions of their orders here and there. Here come our entrees. Apparently no salad is coming. Halibut ($38 x2) with bitter

Mushroom chalupa is the only good vegetarian item on this menu. The mushroom risotto is super sweet and sugary and tastes like a sweet dessert. We’ve now just spent $150 for dinner for 2 and I leave hungry and annoyed that we spent this amount and all the restaurants are closed so we can’t go anywhere to find a decent bite to eat. If you stay here avoid this place, it is not worth it. It may be easy to get to but you will leave disappointed and hungry.

The puffy jacket pop up was amazing! It was four delicious courses for $59.On top of that, the service was phenomenal. We each had a heated lamp, and they provided us with fleece blankets as well.I appreciated the chef speaking with each table at the end of the meal and answering any questions we had.Would highly recommend. Food and drinks were amazing. And the views were a plus!!

2-star food, 5-star location. Beautiful view from the deck. We thought we’d try again with the change in chef. The scallops were very tender, but the sauce was tasteless. The waitress recommended that we get the bread to use with the scallops sauce. It didn’t seem to add anything to the bland bread. The seasoned butter that came with the bread was similarly bland. The Brussel sprout appetizer was savory and there was a good amount. My wife had a Hearth Chicken. The chicken and the onion bed the chicken was on didn’t have much taste. The chicken itself was moist and tender. She had Grilled Carrots with pistachios, but some were thicker than my thumb and hard as an uncooked carrot.I had a prawn dish with a raspberry sauce. I couldn’t taste much raspberry over the ?chili powder on the tiny prawns. The virgin pina coladas were great! We went for our 45th anniversary, hoping for an improvement over our last anniversary meal there a few years ago.I doubt we’ll be back. $164 is a lot for a disappointing meal. Couldn’t beat the view though.

Amazing views of Friday Harbor. If you don’t have a reservation ask for fire pit seating and order the crab cakes and some bread. Delicious!

4.5 stars. We walked in on a whim for breakfast on mother's day and we were lucky they could seat us. The table was out on their lawn and there was a bit of a sprinkle but it stopped and we didn't mind, it wasn't that cold and we had our jackets. The views were great with the ferries coming and going, and the atmosphere with the fire was wonderful. Had the eggs benedict, the potatoes were really crisp and good. Service was lovely. Would love to come back for lunch or dinner someday, next time we're in the area.
