Church's Chicken
Went there to try out a new place in Saskatoon. Have to say extremely disappointed. The fries reminded me of ordinary store bought fries, the gravy was ok. The biscuits were decent. Then we have the chicken. Way too much batter. Tends the trap the hot oil. The batter wasn’t terribly special (didn’t get the spicy version). For an 8 piece (plus extra for a gravy) for $36, I expected better. All dark meat no less. I would have liked some white meat. Me and my kids both found this meal to be mediocre. This chain should have stayed in the states.Do yourself a favour and swing by a co-op and get their fresh fried chicken. Cheaper and way more satisfying. On a side note they should also carry Coke Zero instead of just diet for those wanting something different.

I had the two piece combo, I loved the chicken and my fries were cooked perfectly. Very glad I didn’t let negative reviews deter me from trying it for myself! However, the staff aren’t doing anything about no paper towel in the washrooms + one sink in one washroom doesn’t work, despite several people complaining. one female staff member even had some eye rolls/negative body language and whispering to coworkers while staring at us about the bathroom issues. HOWEVER, loved my food.

Tried out Churches for the first time last night, I was left impressed with their food. The batter is super crispy but the chicken pieces are not greasy. Their honey biscuits are top notch as well. The service was also super fast. It’s definitely my new go-to chicken place in Saskatoon!

Church's Chicken
Food was mediocre at best, had zero flavour, fries were old, and soggy. They were not salted. Asked at the til if the tenders included sauce, I was told yes. When I went to get sauce because it wasn’t in the bag I was told it cost .50 cents and I should use ketchup if I wanted something free, spicy is not actually spicy. Fried chicken was extremely coated in flour and wasn’t even salted. Cant see this place lasting long if this is how the food tastes. The biscuits are okay but not worth it.

Unfortunately to be fair, during my visit Today this restaurant Failed. Tables were dirty, The food was of real low quality, very low quality bird. The cooking was not to standard, the pieces were too oily, looks like they don’t know what they are doing, I think the franchise is going to be mad at them as they are not following temperature and cooking time guidelines. I asked for dine I they gave dine out. There was no katchep.

Great place to eat some delicious chicken, definitely one of the best chicken recipes I've ever tasted. Their honey biscuits are the best, and their chicken sandwiches are really good. I love this place

Church's Chicken
I was very excited to see church’s chicken in Saskatoon after trying in Toronto for the first time, but it has been one the low/mediocre experience I’ve had. The chicken was probably cooked a while ago and was tough to bite into, and even some the chicken bites were cold, seemed like they had cooked the chicken in the morning and was serving it through out the day! As soon as I walked in and saw the amount of chicken they had ready to go and just sitting under the heater pan was no shocker it was cold! And the amount they had ready for a 9 pm service is abnormal. Churches recipe are top notch tho, the TEX SUPREME BURGER is a MUST TRY THO! But overall everything was cold and the tables were not even clean when I came in, all the tables were cleaned when we walked around the restaurant to find a clean table. I wanted to rate it 1 star but I believe they can work on the a lot of things and get back to the level it needs to be functioning at!

Church's Chicken
My first (and likely only) experience was incredibly poor. I got a few different items to try. I tried one of the chicken burgers, chicken strips, and the fries. The fries were poorly seasoned and overly soggy. The chicken strips were extremely greasy and flavorless. Aside from the sauce, the chicken burger was also really underwhelming. Overall, the food made me feel sick. The service also made me question the establishment. I had to keep repeating what I ordered, even at the pickup window. With all of the confusion, I was surprised to get the correct order. The employee was friendly, but the rest of the experience was not good enough for me to give this establishment a second chance.

Got the 16 piece family meal and it was a good value for what it was. Very crunchy and juicy fried chicken, but the fries and onion rings were soggy.

Its their first week open and they are still ironing out their process and communication but over all the service was friendly and prompt enough. I walked in and did take out, the outside layout isn't the greatest with only one narrow path to the entry doors running directly next to the drive through lane. The restaurant space is very open and nicely lit in the day but seating is limited.I got there right at opening so everything was fresh. I ordered a 4pc combo and added 3 honey biscuits and it came to $20.The honey biscuits are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not too dry with a mild buttery flavor but nothing fancy either.Fries are crinkle cut style, as is the standard style for all Church's. The seasoning could be a little heavier as I found it to be very mild. I love a good crispy crinkle cut but it has to be seasoned just right. The 4pc combo (2 drum and 2 thigh) for $15 with a mix of regular and spicy. I found the spicy to not be too terribly hot with very mild lingering peppery sensation, for me it was barely a 1/10 on the spicy scale but everyone out there is built different. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The meat on the drums was fantastic and you could essentially just take everything off in one single chomp if you wanted to. The thighs were decently sized, a good amount of meat and not just all bone or batter like some other chicken places. Chicken was still crunchy despite a 15 minute drive home.Overall it was enjoyable. The experience wasn't overwhelming but if you are expecting overwhelming from a fast food chain then your expectation are too high. If you want quick and decent chicken then I suggest giving it a try even though they are a little bit out of the way.In my opinion the drive through was either not thought about enough or entirely overthought. It is designed very badly. Dont take my word for it, you will understand when you see it.Pictured below is an example of the chicken and biscuits because everyone knows what french fries look like.
