Mardy at the Arn-Lockie funeral home in Norwich was an absolute gem to deal with over of the last couple of weeks after the sudden loss of our father, husband and grandfather. He was very patient and kind to us all. Mardy was readily available when any of us had questions through both e-mail and phone calls above and beyond the scheduled meetings and the responses were prompt and professional. He was very organized and thorough while walking the family step by step through checklists and providing information we would require. It was seemingly effortless for Mardy to inform and instruct while at the same time, realizing when to pull back as enough information was provided for process before becoming overwhelmed... until the next meeting. Bit by bit.. with compassion, understanding and respect for the entire family. A wonderful, gentle soul of a human being to deal with despite the tragedy and grief of it all. Thank you Mardy. You made an impact on myself and my family that will be cherished for years to come.

We had to say goodbye to our Father, Fred Andrew almost 3 weeks ago. Needless to say, it has been a very difficult time for our family, especially during a crippling pandemic. Without the care, compassion & professionalism of Mardy Fransen, the process would have been excruciating. Although I did not get a chance to work with him directly (other than one occasion), he immediately put me at ease with his gentle demeanor, patience & willingness to tackle each issue at a manageable pace. He supported my Mother with a tenderness that was simply remarkable... a true testimony to how he walks through life as a human being. Going forward, I will sing his praises to the end of my days. Anyone who is fortunate enough to utilize the services of the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home will be blessed.
