I've been going to Dr. Harrison here for years! All the staff are professional and treat you with respect. When I come, I don't wait long and get-in-get-out. I go every year because of a complicated eye disorder I have, and I wouldn't want any one else working on my eyes.

I did see DR Thomas-Parel for a emergencyand let me tell you she was amassing !!!!She was able to see me ride a way and she did see me on a follow up appointment on a long weekend and made sure i have her emergency contact if something changed over the next few days ,best optometrist care i ever had !thanks Dr Thomas-Parel

I have been going here for years now but today I was patronized by the woman directly working with me on replacing my prescription lenses. She was disrespectful and unapologetic after telling me that they cannot replace the lenses in my 'old' frames. (I read online that they can but won't because there is no money in it for them)When I excused myself and asked the receptionists to have someone else help me they looked at me like I was a monster and told me there was noone else available today. The woman then told me I was rude for talking behind her back as she followed me around the store even though I excused myself from her. I took my belongings and left the store after she then said oh my god" and asked "are you always like this?""

Warning parents, this is not a good place to bring young children for eye exams.I brought my five year old kid to see Dr. Shen, who looked like a nice lady but with very limited experience and patience handling young children. Dr. Shen kept blaming my child for non-cooperative behaviour which made her unable to do her job. She even said, child above 3 should be able to cooperate. Well, my child is a normal kid, who goes to a normal school with no behaviour concerns from teachers. Clearly, Dr. Shen could not handle young children and used a 5 year old's non-cooperation as an excuse for her incompetence to get the job done. My child had an eye exam before with another doctor somewhere else at 3 years old and had no cooperation problem.My kid had a mild cold that day which was unpredictable when I made the appointment. And Dr. Shen was extremely nervous. She kept asking me whether the kid was going to vomit and blamed me for bringing a sick kid to eye exams. Clearly, she did not understand that how frequently young children get sick and how unpredictable they are. If everywhere requires perfect health condition like what she expects, probably my kid had to stay home more than 300 days every year. My kid went to school right after the exam. His teachers understood that mild cold is common among children and had no issue with his health condition. If the school had the same standard as Dr. Shen, probably 90 percent of the kids at school had to stay home.The worst part of the experience was she gave up after a few attempts and asked us to reschedule. We wasted half an hour of our life and our annual OHIP eye exam quota but did not get the job done. I completely lost my confidence in Dr. Shen. Well, I can not guarantee that my child will be in perfect health condition next time and I don't want to be humiliated again for bringing in a sick kid or being told that she couldn't finish the exam because my kid is non-cooperative.This might be a good place for adult eye exams but definitely not a good place for young children. Think twice, parents!
