Unlike the Bank of Montreal branch just up the street, this CIBC branch flatly refused to assist me in exchanging banknotes for coins when I honestly told them I was from the States and was not a typical bank customer. The teller was utterly rude and dismissive. Other banks go out of the way to serve anyone, bank member or not, but not this particular bank.

Not a great customer service.Told my friends they can open 4 accounts to place their money in this branch and we visited it at about 2:34pm on Wednesday. There were no customers. But teller on the front desk told they have not enough time to open the accounts and took a cell number to call us back for the appointment.None ever called us and we waste half a day on waiting. And went to another bank in the Uptown, which did everything in 1 hour with a great service and support.Do you guys not need any new customers?

There typically is just a short wait if you need to see a teller for your banking. Their business advisors are super busy, so getting in to them is often a couple of weeks wait for an appointment. Then following up to get things done seems to take multiple emails. Not the employees fault, but frustrating that it takes so long to get things done when it comes to business banking.

I opened an account here with CIBC dealing with Alyssa Hall /financial advisor rep & she was extremely helpful & making it an easy bank transfer to their bank. I’m hoping for a great experience ti come with this bank.

Not recommending CIBC for newcomers, the $350 they offer are available after 7 month of business if you are a good customer, the cheques for my Ukraine hosting family are still on hold even that one of the cheque was a payroll cheque.BEFORE YOU SIGN READ ALL IN YOUR CONTRACT

slow service and the cashier wanted to count stuff unrelated to my account while i was on my break trying to get my stuff done. not like im not in a hurry. not too mention im overall dissatisfied with cibc as a whole.
