Drove 1hour and a half to this store based on internet reviews, not worth your gas & time!! 2 types of fresh fish sold, remainder are frozen fish in coolers. Very expensive, do not bother!! Waste of time:(

Nice place, but you need to check the seafood after you bought them. Last time we got the crabs and didn’t check carefully, when we got home two of them were missing couple legs.

Be aware of scam fishermen ( or should I say ladies). I bought some fish today from the boats over there. One was fresh chum salmon $25. Very good. The other frozen pink salmon , a small fish, $16, the lady said was caught few days before, but they needed to freeze it. We went home and started to cook. The fresh one was very good. But the frozen one, after defrosting, we realized it was very bad. The head and tail ( we planned for soup) had to throw to the garbage, it was very old , yellow and dry, clearly very old. Even the bones in the stomach were out of the flesh. No way that was caught few days before. After cooking, you could feel the bitter taste of rancid. Cannot eat it . It was not frozen while fresh. I guess after fishing, it took a while until they froze it. And it was then frozen for very long time.I bought even. from Superstore better fish. The lady we bought from was a blond lady on the last boat on the left side ( not sure they are always in the same spot). She said they fished in Haida Gwaii. Check the fish, if frozen before buying it. If it looks dry and yellowish, don't buy it! It was already pre-bagged, could not see clearly inside. Open the bag, check it. Don't do the same mistake we did! I gave 3 stars because of the fresh fish we got (from another boat), which was good. Otherwise i would give 0 stars. So it is a good place to buy fish, but just check what you buy, don't trust some people that sell there.

Fresh fish market much better than going to some grocery store for seafood. Some items are frozen (availability I guess) but good choice of fresh

The sashimi grade shrims were fresh and sweet. We bought over 2 pounds, rinsed them with cold water, then peeled and ate them as breakfast. We were suggested to eat without wasabi and soy sauce, so we tried with and without, both were nice experiences.

If you want cured, candied or something to take home just SKIP this place altogether. I opened my maple salmon nuggets and it was a halffilet in salmon water. The smoked salmon was worse, iodine table salt drenched in more canned water...both enough to water a small plant and kill it. I was hoping for glazed and chewy separated pieces or dried and vacuum sealed for freshness. Tourist BS. Saw it at airport and lost all saliva from reminder of how the salt drenched ish fish ruined my souvenir. Thank god i didnt send these to my landlocked family. Yikes :( Fresh fish was limited and barely occupied store...grab from gals on pier. Way better.

Always my favorite place to visit. Lack of parking spots , need to walk a bit few block but worth the efforts. Fresh prawns and that's about it in this time of year. All fish were frozen or refrozen, meat of my Pollock falled apart . Fish Market still open on Sundays even Google says it's not .
