St. John Henry Newman Catholic High School

I'm not one to enjoy school much but Newman really does the most for everyone. The teachers care about the kids and go out of their way to make things happen. There are so many opportunities to get involved and they offer something for anyone. Wide range of sports teams and clubs. My peers are all nice, approachable, and kind hearted. Couldn't have picked a better place to spend my four years and i'm thankful my sister has the chance to experience what I did.

INTERNATIONAL students should definitely avoid this school, they don’t provide much help to international students while their tuition fee is extremely high, if your English is not extremely perfect, they will treat you like a problem student. What’s worse, the woman at the reception desk who is tall and skinny is extremely mean, offensive and ignorant to all international students, all international students I know were completely offended by her, I bet she really hates her job and she should be fired. But I still have to say there are some nice teachers . Overall, DON’T waste your money here!! You deserve a better school

Attended from 1996 to 2000 and it was a great school so many good memories as well for the most part teachers were good some I did not like but that's most schools location is greatHi

Newman has been a great experience for me. The teachers and students have made me feel very welcomed. We excel in academics and athletics and are proud of our school. There are a wide range of activities for everyone to participate in. The location of this school is very accesible because we now have a bus that comes down to one of our entrances and every bus stop is a 2min walk at most. We are right beside Bluffers Park which allows us to go down there in the summer for gym and enjoy the weather and sports. Overall this school is a very safe environment and you should consider Newman when applying.

Went here for 3 years, it was worth it! Guidance counselors were great and supportive! The teachers were good too.

The location of the school is very very poor. They should have a transportation for the students since it has too much bumps to get around the school. #2 the lady at the administrator department is very veryyyyyyyyyyy rude n bossy. N she talk to parents anyhow she want. Even if u missed one paper or document at a time of registration she demand them like the school belongs to her. What a turn off. Plus if u are a person with no people skills at Christian Catholic High school then what else can u offer ?;also the school seems to let the students walk for three to four hours to places when the weather is too hot n heat wearing is on. The school did not provide cold water or freeze to keep the students cool. I was very very shocked with that because my niece came home sick from one of their long hours of walked in the hills for hours. Plus they were making them picked garbage up during the heat weather alert. I am very disappointed n this needs to be addressed.n sometimes in life a school might have good name but until your child or someone u know physically experience things u don't know. Plus these children are human being, so why were they carrying their heavy backpack with the heat weather walking on a long journey hills with no cool place or water for them,? Wowwwwwwwww shocking.

I’m a Newman alumni, first of all It has an amazing athletic program, so if you’re an athlete it’s definitely the school for you. Teachers are good here, they actually bond with students. And overall most students do get along well. Newman has a great cultural overall and the food in the cafe is meh besides the cookies, those were to die for and I bet most students would agree. There are many different clubs to join and the IT department is phenomenal. Overall I’d say my experience was good, however, the employees in student services always made life hard for us students. I was literally told to get out once for just asking a question. They denied giving me a form to record my community service hours. The employee there thinks us students are trash that she would always talk down to. But that’s I would say the only downside to Newman. I made many long lasting friendships there.

No adults supervision at all its like a adults schools so your kids can smoke Crack and no one would know girl attack by boys no problem at this school it's okgangs from morning side not a safe schoolschool lock down 2x in in 6 months
