PVS Contractors

Company marked up my property with paint. All over the place. When called, they have no idea why and no record of any request to locate anything. Now we have to wait until they can figure out what they're doing. If no one requested a locate, why are they on my property marking it up? Why does no one at this company know what's going on? Trespassing and then vandalism.

Absolutely awful service. I operate a Fence Company and locates are essential prior to digging. We request locates almost daily and I don't remember the last time a locate was completed within the required 5 business days. Locates frequently take a month to be completed if we do not call to have them expedited. This is not a new problem you need to work on your service so I can provide mine in a timely manner.

They say it will be 5 days to locate and tell us that better planning on our part will insure e have locates but its taking over 20 days to do it rather then 5. They are realy bad ro deal with and this contfact needs to be given to a better company. We rely on these locates. This is our livelihood. They deseeve a 0This is not just one time. This has been like this for months now and ppl rely on your service but you are unable to carry out your wirk load. Hire ppl trainew staff. Help lower the unemployment rate. Give the contract to a company that can handle it.Changed it to a4 star this yr as they are100 times better this yr then last. Keep it up

Done on day3 of a five day window. Spoke to the gentleman Thomas doing it, he was pleasant and helpful with information.

I have nothing but praises to report! PVS is very polite on the phone the ladies work hard to try and accomodate my requests. It is advised to call tickets a few weeks in advance. One Call tells you up to 5 working days this is not written in stone. Nothing but praises to report. The locators onsite are very professional text me when locates completed. Everyone wants to be first but in this industry you need to wait your turn! Thank-you to the office and locators for your excellent customer service.

Over three weeks now and no sign of a locate being done. They don't pick up the phone at all. Escillated to enbridge directly which goes nowhere. Project is now way behind and contractors have had to be sent home at my cost. There is no accountability. Tried to schedule locates early but on1call holds your application until 10 days before the scheduled work. Nothing you can do but be part of this system. Can't beleive they get all the work with this service.

They can not provide locates in a timely manner.As of writing this review my locate request is 13 days overdue... how am I expected to organize and pre-plan any facet of the production?The phone numbers (Ham,Tor, StC) will direct you to a voicemail that I can only assume is completely ignored.This is not new, this is regular operating procedures with PVS.It's not the fault of the locators, they are absolutely buried by the amount of locates they are expected to complete.This whole organization is flawed and any utility providers that choose to use PVS for their locates are irresponsible and also suffer reputation damage by association.

I have waited close to 3 weeks for a locate to happen, called at least 10 times. When you have a monopoly like this, you are supposed to provide a service. I can understand a few days behind, but not even answering phone calls, and 2 weeks behind is plain ridiculous.

Have been waiting for a few weeks now for locates...PVS cannot tell me when they will be here in St. Catharines. Terrible service. Have lodged complaints with OneCall but to no avail. They are supposed to do the locates within 5 days of request.....

A TERRIBLE experience dealing with this company. We requested a locate through Ontario 1 and this is the company that was sent. We needed to located the gas and water lines on the front of a private home before moving a large tree. They advised us it would be within 5 days so we arranged the contractor for days 7.....just in case" ! On that day we had the contractor arrive to commence the work but there was no indication anyone had been to locate the lines. A call to Ontario sent us to PVS. With the ticket number we called PVS who said in no uncertain terms that they were "busy and would get to it". I had to send the truck away but not until we paid for his morning time wasted. I have never had a to deal with a company who displayed such a lack of willingness to assist. They are clearly the only show in town
