Halifax Water

maddening billing system, trying to go to Epost now, cannot use use safari, needs Chrome, and once you finally get all that, there is no comprehensible way to populate your folder with your statements. Still needs a phone call I guess. Horribly inept system.

Such a poorly run company. I have had the dishoner of them using my street as there work station. Often blocking my driveway, pissing in the woods gathering for multipal smoke breaks or just smoking as they work. People standing around for an hour just to work 10 min and sit again. Trucks sit idaling for hours just waiting

Wow ! Awesome service. The city used to maintain a section of land next to my property but stopped. They said it's now maintained by Halifax water but they werent aware of it. I called Halifax water at 10ish and talked to very professional and polite Robert. By 11am very professional and polite Taylor was there to check it out. Before 1pm the heavy equipment guys were there taking care of it!

Why is the tap water always brownish yellow downtown Halifax??? This is turning in to a third world country

This is the worst company , period. Arrogant, they think they own the whole city. They wanted to charge us for drainage when there was none. But there bill comes in top our community centre and it is just erratic, meaning, the billing. Today they shut off the water without informing us, whole community centre ... than when we called , they said oh, water if turned off and they do not have time when it will come back....The city needs to kick these guys out.... very bad people.

One star because 0 isn't an option. I had no problems getting ahold of anyone there, but no one could answer any questions. I was told I would get a call back concerning my questions multiple times, but never got called. I was also told serval times that my bill was put on hold until the matter was looked into, but then received a late notice. Pathetic.

Terrible customer services. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Had service for 36 days and they charged me multiple fees that I was not advised of. Called about my $20 bill being nearly $120 and they said too bad they didn't tell you it is what it is. If there was another option for a water company on my primary residence I'd take it over this terrible customer service. This was a temporary service. When I asked for a manager they said they will phone me back when they get around to it. Unable to tell me if that was going to be hours, days, weeks, months.. Refused to take ownership and was only sorry because I told them they should be atleast sorry. **3 Week update - No manager phoned me back**

Charging people who have wells for rain water??? Really?

Unbelievably bad service and attitudes.Remember they will charge you for your rain water if they can.

I called Halifax water to hammer down my isolation valve sticking out of my lawn. After a few days I realized my sump pump was coming on more that it should. I called Halifax water to explain the situation and they said no way it was the workers that could have caused that. After a few more weeks and no rain for a few months the water was still coming in. Coincidentally one day Halifax water was doing maintenance on the fire hydrant on my yard and knocked on my door saying good chance there is a water leak on you're property. Turns out it was definately the workers that broke there own water line. Long story short when I was on hold for about 25 mins after talking to the individual on the phone, I have a good feeling they were trying to get there stories strait to ensure they didnt have to deal with it. Lesson learned, this utility useless over the phone and will try and pass the bucket off to you.Edit: Workers arrived and fixed the water leak in the ground. Very efficient and cleaned up nicely!
