Secord House Apartments

I have lived here for close to 2 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and amenities offered. The building manager was attentive when enquiries were made. Everything in my suite worked perfectly upon moving in, and no maintenance was required during my stay. I would highly recommend this building.

Have lived here for a few months now and am very pleased. When I viewed the suite it was just stripped to be renovated. Wasn't exactly sure how it would look, but the staff were much more pleasant than other places I had looked at, and the location was 2 blocks from work, and being close to almost everything else (grocery, drug stores, restaurants, river trails and Parks), decided to go for it. Leanne was more than happy to allow me to view the suite a few times during the process of being renovated. Once finished I was more than pleased as all the appliances are quite nice and the finished work was of good quality (I grew up a carpenter's son and probably a bit more picky than most, can tell when work has been done well and with care). I did have one small issue with the kitchen sink when I moved in but it was reassuring that the repair was taken care of immediately. Since I have had no issues and the staff continue to be amazing and accommodating - truely so easy to deal with and very understanding as well. The move-in incentives were also a big part of my decision. Free month with lease, and half the damage deposit for certain professionals, not to mention parking is a lot cheaper than a lot of places downtown. Also usually street parking available for guests and a parking lot across the street. I decided to steer clear of some buildings as they seemed to have more student residents...I work odd hours and sometimes sleep during the day so noise was a concern. Here at Secord I have not had any issue with noisy or belligerent people. It feels like this location is nicely tucked in a tight corner of downtown but still close to everything. Thank you to Leanne, Nancy, and Jervis!Didn't take a lot of photos, but for the size of apartment, space is utilized well and that is a full sized fridge, and it's nice to have a dishwasher as well.

My partner and I were looking for an affordable apartment in our budget and were so happy when we found the secord House apartments!Leanne (Powis) was such a big help and absolutely amazing to deal with and made us more excited to be moving into our new home! She deserves recognition for the wonderful energy and hospitality she brings with her to work and for going above and beyond to help. Thank you again, Leanne!We'll see you this weekend!

advertisement for renting is misleading. they show photos of one apartment that is the luxury apartment yet then at the end they show the 1 bedroom floor plan and it looks nothing at all like the photos they use to show potential renters. You should be honest with your ads because many will come to look expecting those great photos and will find they'll be stuck with the plain, basic apartment.

Well-maintained, modern, safe, and clean.The staff at Secord House are very friendly and accommodating to the needs of the tenants. They do an amazing job maintaining the building and making this a great place to live! This place stands out from my last apartments by a long shot. Thanks to Leanne and thanks to John.

I moved in nine months ago and when Leanne told me my new lease was ready I didn't hesitate to sign for another year. I love my suite but what really makes this building special is the management and the other residents. Leanne and Corey keep the building spotless and are always there to greet you with a smile, and treat if you're a dog AND they put on a Holiday party to add to the sense of community in the building!

I lived in Secord House for 2 years now, I am very happy Leanne is back as the resident manager! She has been the nicest and most dependable by far. The new building cleaner Corey is also great, always friendly and the building has never been cleaner since living here.

The Secord House was one of the most welcoming experiences I've ever had while looking for an apartment. Leanne was a wonderful help in making my decision to live here. The process was stress free, moving in was easy, and so far I love everything about this location and the building. Definitely feels like home!

Just moved in on October 1st. I have been a renter for a long time. Leanne made this the best experience we have ever had moving to a new place. The building is exceptionally clean, the apartment is spacious and all the design choices are really thoughtful and tasteful. Everyone, including the tenants are very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to being a tenant for many years.

After living here for a few months now thought I would write a review. We recently relocated from Ontario and this is our first home in Edmonton. Leanne who recently returned to the building with her staff is fabulous. She is very friendly and welcoming!! Also have to mention Corey our maintenance person. He is a very polite and respectful young gentleman. He keeps the building extremely clean. This time of year this can be difficult but he keeps everything spotless! The two of them make this building a great place to call home! The other tenants are also very friendly and we are so happy to be residents of this great building here in Edmonton!!
