Your prices are exorbitant. I quilt but I no longer buy from you. I have never paid in the $20’s at a quilt shop and their cotton is much better than Fabricland’s. Sorry but I’m now buying all of it in a quilt shop.

Went and visited for the first time. Probably one of the most depressing stores I've been in. Employees are not happy at all, the conversations are miserable. I live off of the street and I won't be returning.

I recently made three purchases at the Oshawa store, and nothing went right.I requested 6 metres of fusible interfacing and when I went to use it I realized it was non-fusible. I have no use for this, and ended up not being able to complete my project on time, because I had to wait a few days to purchase fusible interfacing. The staff wouldn’t refund, they said once it’s cut it’s non-refundable, even though it was their mistake. The staff said I must have asked for non-fusible. Really?I bought some ponte off the sale rack. I only needed 1.3 metres. The bolt had 1.4 metres on it, and the staff pressured me into buying the extra 0.1 metre. My sense was that it would make her life easier if she didn’t have to cut it. Regardless, any other fabric store would have just included the extra piece.I bought some pricey bamboo cotton in two colours, and when I got my pieces home I see there are several big snags on the back of each piece. This is just terrible quality. This store doesn’t even have an online process for the premium membership cards. You have to go there in person and put all your personal info on a clipboard, along with everybody else. They think it’s 1980I’m done with Fabricland. I would rather buy quality fabric online and pay shipping than go back to this terrible store.

Lack of consistency when enforcing their covid policies which leads to unfair treatment of customers (possibly racial).I walked in the Oshawa store just after 9am, only to be told that the first hour is reserved for first responders and costumers over 60. I explained that I knew exactly what I wanted, but was still directed out of the store, THOUGH IT WAS VERY CLEAR THE STORE WAS NOT NEAR CUSTOMER CAPACITY.I went to wait in my car. When a mother and daughter, both white, arrived and stood in the line, I went back out and to wait behind them. They were told the same information from a different person, but proceeded to explain what they wanted. The person at the door went to find the item and let the 20 something into the store to pay with no hesitation. WHAT!?!After seeing this, I mentioned the blatant unfair situation to the door person. The employee who I first encountered (seems like part of the management team) quickly came to the door to tell me that browsing for fabric takes more time than getting thread

I came in to grab a draw-string for a pair of jogging pants. I had no idea where anything was. The first sales person I saw answered my questions with ease. I was in and out of the store within ten minutes.

I stayed longer than expected, spent more than expected, and I will be back sooner than I expected.I went in for a small piece of faux fur for my daughter and came out with 2 meters from 2 colours. After signing up for membership they immediately cut my price in half. The next time I go with my card the price again will be half.I'll probably go back there this month

I felt very unwelcome in the store. It felt as if I was being judged by the colour of my skin and treated that way.I wasn’t going to leave a review but after going home and having my white husband tell me that he felt the same way about the way they responded to me, I had to leave a comment…….it made me feel horrible.I’m currently looking at other comments and see that it’s clear that they have a racial issue that needs to be dealt with. You should be hiring younger people. I’m very unhappy. Are you guys not embarrassed?

My first time at this store, and new to sewing. My friend brought me in. We were greeted right away by staff. Very well laid out store, neat and organized. At the fabric cutting table, we were met by a very nice staff person named Shelly. She chatted with us, and was excited to find out I'm new to sewing projects. Felt very good when leaving..thank you Shelly and staff for your warm welcome.

-1 star actually. Staff were surly and condescending - to the point of rudeness. I won't be returning and will advise other sewers to avoid them altogether. In a word ... UGH!
