Needed a wooden bed rail repaired in a short time span, Daren was able to squeeze me into his schedule. He's very professional and communicative. The work was fantastic and I would definitely recommend Da Vinci Restoration.

It has been about a month since Daren and co worked their magic on my recently purchased rocking chair. The day after I purchased the antique, I was leaning back and part of it snapped. I took it to Daren who fixed it quickly. It then broke in a different spot! I called Daren, and he handled it immediately (free of charge), reinforcing the new wound, with no problems since! Thanks to Daren, working from home for me is way more comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Extremely expensive. Make sure you understand his estimate clearly, and keep copies of what you sign as it's written out in narrative form, not as an itemized table with a true bottom line cost and in my case, I was given different numbers. What appears as a bottom line total cost is a sentence or two and although it states total cost" it is not - it is only part of his overall estimate. I am sick to my stomach that I paid $3000 to have two antique trunks repaired when I understood the cost would be $825 each. That was already $2-300 higher than I had budgeted based on other estimates but decided to go with DaVinci as they seemed competent. I was floored when the trunks were finished to find out I owed $1700+ more than my $1200 downpayment. The original "estimate" was then marked up to show me how all the numbers quoted were not included in the "total cost to repair each trunk" line but were additional charges on top. I am just soooooo sick and will regret this forever. I am very careful with my money because I don't have much. I could have given my kids a fun trip

I am grateful for Daren's work restoring a family antique platform rocking chair. The chair has a caned back and seat, which Daren does not handle, but he referred me to a craftsman who could. Daren removed the back and seat for the caning work, then reassembled and refurbished the chair. In addition to making the chair usable for many future generations, the result is beautiful!

Daren did a great job on our antique rocker. It was dirty and unstable and hadn't been sat in for at least 30 years. He worked his magic and made it sturdy enough that even my 250 pound husband can rock in it. Daren also recommended an upholstery shop that put a nice leather seat on for us. We are very pleased with how it turned out.

My wife has a dining room chair from her Grandmother that needed to be repaired and refurbished. Daren did a phenomenal job restoring it and coordinating with a couple other vendors to help with the project.I would highly recommend Daren to work on any family heirloom.

Daren worked with me to fix my Grandmother's dining room table, which is a very special heirloom to me. An entire leg had broken off and he fixed it not only quickly, but so well that I would challenge anyone to tell me which leg was broken in the first place. Daren is professional, polite, and does excellent work. Would definitely recommend!

As someone of the younger generation I struggled to find a good place in the Twin Cities area to get two old trunks restored that I received from my family. Both trunks were in very poor shape when I got them especially with one being about 100 years old. When I initially spoke with Daren, he was very professional and helpful explaining to me what he thought would need to be done to them based on the photo's I sent to him. This helped put some of my concerns at ease as I have never needed a restorer before. And when I finally got to see the trunks for the first time I couldn’t have been happier. Daren was able to make them look like the trunks had actually been cared for over the years and brought back so many small details that were not even noticeable before he worked on them. I would highly recommend his work because he as made these pieces into things that I can hopefully pass down to future generations.

Darren was fantastically informative and experienced. We dropped off our (exceptionally large) piece and he went through everything he planned to do and the parts that may be complicated, exactly what was in the quote - which was done over email. Easy to work with, responded quickly, and prices are reasonable. I'm looking forward to getting our sideboard back and planning for future projects.
