The Olive Board Charcuterie & Wine Bar
My friend and I decided to try the Olive Board in Waterloo today based on a recommendation from another friend. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor and warm ambiance. The owner happened to be there that day and invited us to choose our table. She was very friendly and engaging and we enjoyed chatting with her about her three restaurants. She was happy to answer questions we had about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. My friend and I each ordered a glass of wine, a salad, and an appetizer to share. The salads were huge, fresh, and delicious! The burrata platter was beautifully presented and equally good! The food was plentiful and leftovers were taken home. We are so glad to have discovered the Olive Board and will definitely return! Thank you for the great dining experience!

I made a reservation for 2 for a friday night and we were 15 minutes late due to bad weather, tried calling twice and there was no answer and when we arrived we were told our table was given away. It’s understandable if a restaurant wants to give away tables due to late patrons but it was the overall service that was genuinely unpleasant, when I told them I called they responded “well did you leave a message?” and they didn’t sound very apologetic or try to offer an alternative solution. Most restaurants will also hold a reservation for a bit or maybe to the contact the reso holder? I feel like there are many ways to improve this service. Also, given the bad weather I figured there might be some empathy but unfortunately there wasn’t. Instead, we walked down the street and went to Babylon Sisters which was an incredible wine bar with really great service.

We had a wonderful time drinking and dining at the olive board Waterloo! Our server Amber was amazing. She was super accommodating and her recommendations were excellent. Her friendly and down to earth energy made our experience that much better. We will definitely be returning and will highly recommend this place to all our friends. Thanks again for having us and giving us a great experience!!

Love this spot. Bistro vibe, with perfect lighting creating a warm and intimate environment. Have enjoyed a few of their curated boards and on the latest visit shared the Fondue board with two friends (side order of prosciutto - not to be missed!). It was more than ample, with a delicious mix of dunkables.Great service.

Had a birthday celebration here and we were taken care of excellently! The service was exceptional, warm, friendly and attentive. Great wine recommendations and attention to detail even overbearing our preferences in conversation and accommodating them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some great drinks and a shared meal. A charcuterie board and shared pants stuffed three of us! Will definitely be back again.

A wonderful experience with my daughter (6). Our server (Jess) was so sweet and accommodating - we didn’t have a reso but she seated us at the bar and made my daughter feel special with a Shirley temple.We both had a wonderful time and will be back. Food was perfect!

The extended outside patio made the area look so much better. It should be a continuous idea every summer. The owner served us. We had a pleasant quiet visits mid afternoon. We enjoyed the wine flights suggested. Always good to try new wines that way. Will return another time

A nice date spot with great service. We ordered a charcuterie board and a sandwich to share between two people. Really didn't need the sandwich. The charcuterie board was a great portion and we quite enjoyed the assortment. Only criticism is that some of the meats were cut really thick and hard to chew.
