Yates General Store & Gas station

Owner does not allow washroom to be used. As you can read from the reviews, he lies and says it's not in operation.

Terrible!!! My husband went in to pay for gas and I waited in the car with our baby. Then I headed in to ask for the bathroom key which the cashier refused to give me because I wasn't buying anything. I told her my husband just bought gas and she didn't believe me. I wasn't going to get him to come in to prove it...so I'm holding it I guess. You just lost a customer,good job.

Not impressed.One of the people that works here came out to my car while I was feeding our infant and got mad at my husband and I for using the washroom and walking our dogs on his private property as he was trying to run a business. We had just pulled in and we were going to get gas and snacks for the road. After he got mad at us, my husband went in and bought two chocolate bars and we left. We went else where for gas and other things at a different location.

Owner is very pleasant and accommodating to snowmobiles. He offers us to knock on the door after hours if we're in a pinch for fuel. He also lent us his own socket set and go through his shed to find bolts needed to get us back and going on the trail again.

Just pretend this place doesn't exist and you'll be better off.

Stop here and get gas. You might also wonder how much turmoil these owners have seen in the past? Such angry people! The store is old and could do with a bit of a refresh. Also, the toilet facilities are kept under lock and key. You must appease the powers that be, in order to use said facilities. Seriously, if you can avoid this place, you really should!

I stopped to get gas and the owner came out and said the tanks are empty I will have to wait until the tanks are filled only a few more minutes.He also said there could be sediment if I pump now and not wait.Red flag for me!So I used his washroom and decided to go to the next gas station to get the gas.As we pulled away, he started beating our window hard and also beat the side of our van. Crazy aggressive. I never experienced anything like this before, so much anger. All because we used his washroom and didn’t get the gas. Never go there!!!!

Not accommodating for travelers. Was waiting to get gas pumped but they wouldn't let my child use the washroom. Left swiftly! That's no way to run a business that lives of tourism.

Quick and easy place for gas. Little general store.

Stopped here to use the washrooms & the owner said we had to buy something. It was an emergency so we asked to use the bathrooms first and then we would come back in to look around.Went back in to look around but did not see anything we wanted to buy. I wasn't going to be forced to buy something with my hard earned money that I didn't want so I left. All of a sudden the owner comes running out. Bangs on the hood of my car and windows. Swearing and yelling at us I started to drive and he just kept giving us the finger yelling & kicking the dirt.I debated on calling the police because he was literally so aggressive it was terrifying. Honestly he seams crazy enough that one of these days I doubt it would be just his hands hitting your car...I will never stop there again he should be shut down. I'd rather go on the side of the road then be subjected to such bad service and violence!!!
