Newlands Golf & Country Club

Food is pretty good, venue is nice, staff is helpful. Was at Newland for a tasting and found the food to be pretty good, nothing extraordinary, but pretty standard for a buffet. Their beef bourguignon was a highlight for sure and after tasting all of their cakes, the lemon was definitely a winner. all the pastries and cakes are made in house, which is great, so it’s fresh.The venue is nice with the drapes on the ceiling and lights. The chairs are not the prettiest which is why they offer the chair covers. The bar is rather bland looking, but goes with the whole neutral colours of the location. The room is a nice base and would look better with added decorations.

Never played golf here but I've attended 3 different weddings over the years here. They seem to do a great job at each one of them. Very nice wedding venue. Large enough place that they can accommodate multiple weddings in one weekend

Played this course for the first time. T box’s we’re in good shape. Fairways still green. Some of the holes are challenging as it’ tight and obstructions in the way so you cannot see where you need to hit. Otherwise had a great time golfing!

Both indoor and outdoor is nice and relaxing, a fun place to be.Staff are great, awesome locations.Most of the food is good.But the food prices are a bit pricy, considering the size of portions.

We had amazing service, and the price for a buffet with quality food is very good!( $25-$35 approx, but different days have different buffets so check on the website) Decent sized buffet too, they have a carving station for the beef to serve you. I tried to take a bit of everything to taste it all and there was still some dishes to try but I didnt get to them as I was full lol. Lovely atmophere even though a bit older the windows over looking the golf course and firplaces are very nice. Will definitely be back!

Not much choices for the food. Fish and salmon is surprisingly good, soft and tender. Beef is ok.Though It worths the price we paid. You get salads, beef, seafood and dessert, also live music.

Decided to head here for the Sunday Brunch while in town for the weekend. We hadn’t been in about 25 years since we moved. To our surprise, it hasn’t changed much despite the long passage of time. The food was decent quality, tasty, and the price was fair. It would be nice if at least coffee or juice was included. The server, despite being busy, was attentive and friendly. The tables are a bit cramped and some have to sitbeside the table legs which is uncomfortable. The tables are also quite crammed in - more room for social distancing would be nice. Overall we had a good meal.

I hadn’t played Newlands for many years and I was pleasantly surprised. The conditioning of the course is excellent. Newlands is an Executive length course. In other words it’s shorter than most but it is challenging. They also have another course attached which is cute par 3 course. It’s challenging also. The food by the way is super too. They cater to many functions there such as weddings, etc. Newlands is definitely worth the trip.
