My partner and I have used Andy's for the past five years for our Rav 4 and GMC Sierra. Most recently, I had to have the sepentine belt replaced in my Rav 4 and the mechanic saved me $400. by wedging it in without removing the air conditioning system. They are honest, good communicators, friendly and get your vehicle back on time.

I've been taking my 16 year old car to Andy's for several years now and have always found them to be very helpful, do good work, charge a fair price and cover everything that I've asked for...and more. I would highly recommend them.

My partner and I were having issues at Mt Washington with a hissing noise in our car. Andy and his team carefully gave us instructions that helped us get off the mountain. Once we were at the shop they were all so helpful and very honest about the problem. Andy went above and beyond our expectations and fixed our old car. Would highly recommend his business. We are definitely coming back.

They make the pricing for a simple inspection really confusing and difficult and when it was done they made it seem like the situation was dire and that my vehicle was a write off, knowing how important it is to me as it’s also my home and livelihood. They said that my tensioner was seized and my belt was cracked, even showed me pictures of a horribly cracked belt saying it was mine. Suggested I fix a few things and sell my vehicle for way under its actual value.When I went to a different mechanic to get some of those things fixed, low and behold my tensioner and belt were completely fine. They even brought the belt out to show me and it looked brand new, NOTHING like the photos Andy’s showed me. The new mechanic also pointed out parts and services on my inspection report that we’re way overpriced. Wasted everyone’s time and money for nothing.So beware, they will straight up lie to you about things being broken and about the actual price of parts and services. I’m severely disappointed in not only the quality of service but their ethics as well.

Simply amazing. After many bad mechanics and years of terrible service from numerous brand names, Andy's Auto Center has been an absolute pleasure to deal with.They were recommend to me by a friend after other local mechanics couldn't find the problem with my vehicle. From my first call with them their service and attitude was excellent, their free shuttle service never felt like a chore, and the in-shop service is excellent with clear paper work, a clean environment, and nice attitude.Their diagnosis was quick and specific. Their email communications is the best I have ever seen - a breakdown of everything, with explanations and ways to resolve the problem. Then I get a 20 minute call with Andy talking me through and answering my questions. I was stunned. This level of communications and customer service is something I've not seen from any business in a very long time.Andy's is my new favourite place. Not only will I be returning, but I'll be urging friends to go there too. Five stars doesn't quite cover how well they treated me and how much respect they have for their customers. Thank you!

Most up-front and honest guy I've ever dealt with. Very professional and gave me his honest opinion on how best to deal with my issue, even though it meant I ended up somewhere else. Definitely my new go-to. Andy and his team are awesome.

Andy's Auto is my go-to mechanic in Courtenay. Their willingness to work on import vehicles (sorry Andy and Blair!) is what originally drew me to their shop. A highlight at Andy's Auto is their communication--they will call to run options by you mid-way through the job to confirm what action you'd like to take. They're also realistic around cost/benefit, vehicle safety, and vehicle age. Their inspection forms are very detailed and often include photos. It's a busy shop, but don't be dissuaded by the fast-paced environment; when it's your vehicle's turn to go on the hoist, they are laser-focused. For folks who like turning wrenches at home, Andy's Auto is also a great resource for diagnostic services, and the level of care they provide does not falter regardless of how much 'work' you're giving them. Their honesty has saved me time and money over the years. Highly recommended.

I went to Andy’s for an out of province safety inspection on my truck. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They gave me a curtesy ride home and picked me back up when the inspection was finished. Great service and very professional. I would go back for sure!
