Bowness Park
Must visit park in Calgary. If you are in Calgary this is a must see. Check out my other review to find more places in Alberta but this Bowness park has a lot to offer boat rides, mini train rides, kids play ground, splash park amazing trail along river side, lot of birds and wild life to see. Picnic spots, washroom & parking is ample. Over all highly recommended. Follow for more.

The park is an awesome place in general. Great pathways to walk the dog, plenty of rest areas, picnic areas, wide open spaces, etc.BUT pack your own lunch because one order of fries and two coffees costs $25 at their snack bar lol. It kinda ruins the spontaneity of getting out and grabbing a treat on the way.

My family usually spend time in the park during the summer.It was our first time skating in the park and we had fun time together.We’re so happy that we can have this amazing experience for free.There are fire fits around park so we could stay warm. We’d like to come back and enjoy more.

Scenic park. Busy on weekends. However it’s a nice park to spend the family time . It has boat rentals and children’s train ride. Time has to be checked in the website. Enough car parking space is available.

We had a skate New Years Eve on the pond and the pathway. And again last night. What a fantastic skate. The park is absolutely beautiful. The lights and fires make it a very romantic scene.

Bowness Park
Great place to skate during the winter and get your festive feeling on. They play music out of the centre portion which is very wholesome. During the spring and summer months it’s great to walk, skate and bike through. They have a swimming pool on the east end of the park and canoes you can rent for the day.

Nice place for outing and boating. They do have train rides, but mostly due to weekdays, we may have missed it. Ample walking trails.

This park is beautiful and cool, and it has a therapeutic scenery with green grass, a flowing river, geese, and squirrels. It has lots of nice seating areas for picnics, family gatherings, and outdoor activities.
