Fiddle River Restaurant
We discovered the Fiddle River while on the Jasper Food Tour and made it a point to try this restaurant on our next visit. Service was very attentive and the ambiance was wonderful, perfect for our anniversary dinner. We made reservations and we were glad that we had as the tables quickly filled. We ordered drinks of a local beer and the wonderful Maple Whiskey we had sampled during the tour. Bread arrived shortly after the drinks and then our first course of soup. The Seafood Chowder arrived hot and had plenty of seafood. The broth was outstanding making it one of the best chowders we have had in a long time. The French Onion Soup was also hot and the broth was rich and flavorful. The Snapper was a large portion and again nice and hot. Very good. The real winner of the evening was the Fish Pot. Excellent. The Creme Brule was just okay and the after dinner coffee was good. Overall a must do while dining in Jasper.

Cozy atmosphere and great service.The meatballs ($19) were fine. They lobster & prawn dish (~$46) was good but the amount of lobster was lacking, and I found the prawns to be a little small. The meatloaf was also just fine.Overall the food was perfectly fine, just too highly priced in my opinion.

I don't know where to begin with! We had an amazing experience at this restaurant with mouthwatering food and extremely kind staff. We ordered 3 appetizers of which I liked coconut shrimp the most. They do have an excellent collection on the drinks menu. I had a Rocky Mountain cocktail which you can see in the picture. For my mains I had Elk Stroganoff which was delicious and the gravy was just perfect.Overall my experience was great. It's a great place for families and couples as well, you can have a candle light dinner!Dessert Recommendations:Greedy O’GRADYCheesecakeChocolate/Caramel Sundae

Had the best experience at Fiddle River. Great service and very tasty food. Our server Loni was the BEST! So attentive but not overbearing. Thank u Loni! The place isn’t super big so u might consider reservations. We were lucky enough to walk in around 730 but will reserve next time. We had the French onion soup to start and it was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. The broth so flavourful with lots of onion but not overpowering, with a bit of bread (some French onions is all bread-not this one.) The only critique is we would have liked to see burned cheese on the side of the bowl. Highly recommend! Then we had the calamari and it was also very tasty! So buttery soft and that tzatziki sauce-OMG! So good. Highly recommend. They have a good selection of beer as well. They give u free bread so keep that in mind when ordering. Thank you Fiddle for a tasty meal!

We had an excellent experience here. This was our second time coming for supper and the wait staff were excellent, the food was delicious and the atmosphere on the patio was exceptional, especially woth that view!

This Restaraunt has been the most consistent and delicious place I’ve experienced in years. Mind you Covid certainly put the kibash on that. But as before on my two first visits, and twenty some years of professional cooking this place is on the top of my list of all time favorite restaurants ever. When in Jasper don’t be swayed by the choices Fiddle River will not disappoint. The restaurant is nestled in on the second floor on Main Street with a great view of the mountains and some off the best seafood around these here mountains. And one last note as being a ex chef I sometimes forget to mention the other half …..Loni provides exceptional on the mark service keeping the courses coming at exactly the right time a true pro. Thanks guys I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Jasper

We were blown away with the flavor and service. The meal was incredible, cocktails superb and our waitress was extremely friendly and made great recommendations. The smoked chowder is a must! Lamb was melt in your mouth and the smoked salmon extremely unique. Very happy with the choice to make a reservation here and highly recommend!

My husband ordered the meatloaf which was an ample portion. His one comment was he wished they had put more gravy as there wasn't enough for the potatoes. They were a little dry. I had the snapper which was good. We really enjoyed the cinnamon red cabbage side and the vegetables as these have been lacking over the last few days eating out. For dessert we enjoyed a shared Greedy Grady. Our waitress Joanne was very attentive.

Smoked seafood chowder is a must eat for everyone ! Full of flavour from smoked fish and seasoned nicely with dill, so delicious. Some dishes have their own Asian twist, such as hint of cumin and Asian chillis. In general, food was nice so as service.
