Joshuelle is simply amazing! As a first time mom I wanted someone to help support not only me, but my husband as well. After asking friends, family and looking up some information online, I learned about doulas and what they could potentially offer. Joshuelle was the second doula I interviewed and we clicked immediately. Even virtually her positivity and genuine caring attitude came through. We had two in person visits where we thoroughly went through our birth plan, goals, fears/ concerns and how my husband could support me during all stages of labor (i.e. comfort techniques etc). She provided us with videos, power point presentations, lending library and an exercise ball for prep. She was even available for texts and emails if we had any additional questions or concerns.During labour she stepped in when I was unable to speak; remembering what we spoke about during our sessions, she was able to advocate for me and work collaboratively with the other members of my birth team. The entire labour was seamless and smooth! She provided support without being asked and instinctively took a back seat to allow my husband to take the lead and support me alone. But would step back in and support him as she saw the need arise. It was an exceptional experience feeling that supported. Her calm and soothing presence played a major role in ensuring my birth was positive and oddly enough, enjoyable! After a safe and brief delivery of our baby, we sat in the room chatting, laughing and snacking with Joshuelle. It was like she was always meant to be part of our birth. As uncertain as I was prior to delivery that I would want to go through it again, the experience I had and the confidence I gained from Joshuelle; (literally minutes after delivery) made me certain I could go through all the stages of labour again…as long as I had Joshuelle with me!So from someone who wasn’t quite sure how a doula would help with my delivery and a father who didn’t quite understand or even think we would need one; we LOVED Joshuelle and would recommend her a hundred times over.Thank you, thank you, thank you Joshuelle!

Joshuelle was our nighttime postpartum doula for the first 6 weeks of our son's life. I would wholeheartedly recommend her services (and in fact we would use her services again if she was still in Toronto!). We felt at ease with her from the moment we first interviewed her. I appreciate that her practice is evidence-based while being completely supportive and non-judgmental of our wishes as parents. I always felt confident having her care for our son at night. She would also wash bottles for us and fold a load of laundry, as well as bring in breakfast for us, which was so helpful. We also had some issues with breastfeeding at first, and she was able to give us recommendations for a lactation consultant and would offer suggestions as well as a listening ear. All in all, I'm so thankful we were able to have her be part of our village" for those first few weeks."

Joshuelle was our doula during pregnancy, labour and delivery, and postpartum of our first child. Joshuelle would answer any questions or concerns we had during pregnancy and helped us prepare for the birth of our daughter.As the birth person, I always felt comfortable speaking about any worries and concerns throughout my pregnancy without any judgement. During labour and delivery, Joshuelle was amazing at just knowing what I needed without me asking. The support was incredible especially since my labour was very prolonged. During the postpartum period Joshuelle supported me through breastfeeding difficulties, newborn care, and guided my partner and I transition to parenthood.

The experience of having Joshuelle deeply listen to you is a gift.She is warm and grounded, immediately putting you at ease. She leads from a place of big love and reverence. I would highly recommend having Joshuelle's care for birth and postpartum!

Joshuelle is an absolutely amazing person, and a fantastic doula. She helped us throughout our pregnancy, and during the post-partum period as well. During labor, her presence was so calming, and had really calmed me down since my labor was so chaotic. I vividly remember freaking out, and looking over at my husband, but he was a nervous-wreck - which DID NOT help. I then look over to Joshuelle, and her calming presence was exactly what I needed. Both baby and mama is well.Once we had the baby, we were always so nervous since we are first time parents with no family support. Joshuelle helped us throughout the first month with the baby. She taught us how to burp the baby, bathe him, different feeding positions, baby wearing, etc. She also helped me with getting the baby to latch correctly. Every time she visited we just felt so much better.I'm so grateful Joshuelle was a part of our journey! Thanks Joshuelle :) Oh and her lactation cookie is amazing, I literally had to ration it because it's so good.

Joshuelle was an amazing Doula. The support that she offered was always timely and so compassionate. Being a first time mom I did not know what to expect, especially in the postpartum period. I had no idea how challenging it would be physically and emotionally. She anticipated and met my needs before I even knew of them. She is so knowledgeable and applied her knowledge in the most practical and caring ways. She treated me as family and my daughter as her own! I was able to put my trust in her during a very vulnerable time. Her passion for moms and babies was evident throughout every step of our journey. Hiring Josh as our doula was one of the best decisions I made. I was very nervous about attending pregnancy classes and Josh made sure to teach me and my husband a LOT during our first meetings.At our first meeting I immediately felt at ease and comfortable. I did not feel judged about questions I had, or what I wanted or didn’t want during labour and birth. Joshuelle is an amazing doula. I’m grateful to have had her support during my first pregnancy. She is kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Her help was invaluable - in preparing for birth and motherhood, and getting through the last few months of pregnancy. She gave us great guidance on everything we needed to know to prepare for the baby, and she was easily accessible and responsive.I was planning for a hospital birth, and at the hospital, she was an expert at navigating the medical system while creating a safe and supportive environment for me and my partner. She always centered my needs, tailored her supports to our situation, and was in tune with our cultural traditions. We couldn’t have asked for a better doula. One of my favourite moments was when she handed me my daughter to hold for the first time, after I had an emergency c-section. I’m so happy to have had her be a part of that.She’s also a great support for after birth, and makes the most amazing lactation cookies! I would highly recommend her to any expecting parent.

Joshuelle is the most wonderful person and doula! I truly believe she is a huge part of the reason I feel so positive about my birth experience. She is so knowledge and supportive before, during and after labour and I’m so thankful she was part of my pregnancy and postpartum care team. Joshuelle is an amazing Doula who is extremely gentle with infants and really knows how to keep them calm. She is very knowledgeable and provided us with ample guidance and support. We were super lucky to have her availability at such short notice. She also effortlessly helped with many household chores and took a load off our shoulders. Her presence around the house resulted in a very stress free environment at a home of first time parents. I would widely recommend reaching out to her if anyone is looking for a Doula.
