Lowland Gardens

All of the plants were beautiful and well taken care of. The line up was very long but it went rather quickly. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. If you want quality over quantity...this is the place to go!

We have been getting our baskets for three years now. They are the most beautiful baskets so colorful,well cared for and most of all healthy. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you to the owners and staff for making my home beautiful

Huge garden center lot of plants and beautiful flowers. Lots of garden items. They even have a playground for kids with some animals. I highly recommend the drive to this greenhouse garden center.

The staff is always awesome! The plants are always top-notch quality. We literally drive from East Hants to Great Village for all those reasons... and more!

We have shopped here a few different times in the past. My girls and I always had a good experience, and we loved to support this local business. We even shopped at Lowland gardens on May 1st of this year, without an issue. However, on May 25th, we had a very different and disappointing experience, to say the least. We were in the greenhouse for at least half an hour. During that time, we saw various staff who did not say anything about a mask. Eventually, we were approached by a staff member who told us we have to wear a mask. I calmly told her we were not going to wear a mask. She said OK, and promptly sent her manager instead. The manager told us we would have to leave if we wouldn't wear a mask. I explained that we are medically exempt, which did not matter to her. She still insisted that we leave, unless we wear a mask. I told her that I understood she is following company protocol, but that it is unlawful nonetheless. She told us she would be fired if she did not force unmasked customers to leave the greenhouse, and even insinuated that she would call the police, if necessary. She also explained that the owner was not present for us to speak to. Then she told us we would make her day much better and easier by just leaving. So, we did. No one from this establishment needn't rudely reply and tell us to never come back because you can bet that we won't after such an unwelcoming and discriminatory experience. I would like the owner to know that even while the government mask mandate was still in place, it is still unlawful to discriminate against a paying customer who has a mask exemption. The government has lifted its mask mandate and yet, this business still insists that customers should not have a choice as to whether they will or won't restrict their breathing in their hot greenhouse. I suggest doing some actual research into a masks ability to prevent transmission of a virus. Here's a hint- they don't. It is merely a false sense of security that should not be required for anyone to shop anywhere. I have made multiple posts in the past to recommend and support this business, and it saddens me that I can't do that anymore. Attached are a couple pictures I took, just before this unfortunate encounter. Time to snap out of the fear coma, and come back to your compassion and humanity! This treatment is so morally wrong. Do better!

Lots and lots of plants and flowers. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and friendly.Only downside is they require you to still wear a mask even though mask mandates ended two months ago. They will give you a medical mask, which was nice, but there were none available where the signs and hand sanitation station was upon entry.
