Died December 17. Should have known when noone called us after leaving multiple messages early in the process that this organization was slack. Nobody notified us when cremation occurred; Nobody notified us when ashes were available. Very disappointing and disrespectful. Do not recommend.

Jason Swan was such a helpful resource, since the family was not sure where and how to start. He took the time to explain and answer our questions thoroughly. After investigating a couple of other options, we decided to deal with the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa. We did not feel pressured to make unnecessary expenses. Jason was most professional, compassionate and thorough. He stood by our side every step of the way and appreciated his presence. Thank you Jason. We highly recommend this funeral home and the cost is very reasonable.

An excellent option. Funeral Director Jason Swan was exceptionally helpful and supportive at a very difficult time, dedicated to doing the best for us without pressuring us to spend unnecessarily. We very much appreciated his warmth,sincerity, and organizational skills.

You know, some days you meet someone that you automatically click with. like if you've known each other your whole lives? This was Jason for us.We came to him in hard times, and he welcomed us with his very friendly, and respectful attitude. He showed us through the whole process of planning a funeral and helped us step by step. We felt no pressure from him to buy through the coop. We were able to go through our friends for the flowers and we did our own catering. We used their location for the wake. It may appear small, but I must say that with Jason and his staff, the place was very welcoming and more intimate. it did not feel small to us. He adapted to our needs on the spot and I have never seen someone keep up like that. A real professional.I heard many stories of people getting taken advantage of in this situation. My younger brother, Kevin, passed away unexpectedly and Lisa Wilson, Managing Funeral Director, helped us to ensure that, while we grieved, all the necessary arrangements were handled with care. Our family was very fortunate to have them in our time of need.

Funeral cooperative of Ottawa was huge help in our time of sorrow. Jason was super-helpful, managing to get everything together under tough time constraints, getting vendors and contractors to do everything we needed on our timetable. I had the privilege of meeting Jason on one of the worst days of my life. I have never had to be the person who manages these affairs. Fortunately Jason had already taken the time to prepare my loved one for all the things that would come to pass. Jason was thorough and compassionate and everything needed, all the questions I had were resolved already with my loved one. All I needed to do was go in and sign the papers. It was the easiest thing I had to do in such a hard time. Jason was excellent and the service this place offers is excellent.
