I'm sorry but I would be ashamed if I donated anything to this place. I thought it was a thrift store, meaning they'll sell the items donated for a smaller price than what you would find in a retail store because its for people who can't afford new items. It is literally cheaper to go to a Walmart or amazon and buy clothes at this point. And another thing, no changing rooms? I actually found a shirt for $2 which is the kind of I expect from a place like this. But then I go to see no changing rooms. Are you serious? How is anyone supposed to see if a piece of clothing fits or not? These items are from thousands of different brands, which means different sizing standards.Aside from my photo, there was also a plain black shirt for 19.99. No special name brand that I could see. What a disgrace and completely no help for those struggling to afford basic necessities like clothes.

It was a sweet trip down memory lane, there was a wide selection of books, CDs and even VHS that I enjoyed seeing for sale again. There were record players and CD players for sale like in the old times, when I was a teen, that brought back good memories. There was also a wide selection of clothes, which smelled cleaned and we're put in a tidy manner. Most customers were checking out the clothes instead of other types of items, which leads me to believe that that place might be a thrifter's paradise.Work colleagues recommended this store to buy used kitchen appliances, however some were rusty and most of them seem they weren't cleaned before being put for sale, so we ended up thinking about health issues and deciding to get brand new appliances.

$25 for used jeans, $13 for tees, $18 for shirts. Used to be well priced but now all about profit. Sucks because they have better quality than the other thrift stores nearby. It's turning into a Plato's closet price wise.

If your looking for simple everyday purchases then this thrift store is a good choice. But if your on the hunt for great finds, or more just more unique fun stuff not a great option. It's one of the more busy thrift stores with the parking always packed. So anything that's a really good find would probably be swooped up.The merchandise tends to skew towards cheap old Walmart clothing more then good vintage wears.

Really great store with lots of variety of items to choose from. But prices are a bit steep for second hand items, can nearly buy these items new for prices they're charging for.I left 1 star because prices are a bit steep for second hand items. Also don't like the fact this store is using self checkouts cause I refuse to work for free. I went to the cash with a human employee to check my items out.

Have they actually lost their minds at Value Village Corporate??!? What is the excuse for their absolutely ludicrous prices lately? There is no supply chain inflation here, they get peoples throwaways delivered to their doorstep. They can't say it's labour costs, either, because they pay poorly and are quickly replacing staff with self checkouts. Pure greedflation.

I **LOVE** Value Village. Their prices are getting a little out of control but i shop on seniors day with my children and get 30% off which makes the price a little more reasonable. Go to different stores about 2 times a week sometimes more. PLEASE PLEASE remove new clothing tags before donating. Otherwise they charge way too much for these items.

An okay selection. As someone who thrifts a lot, I can surely say that their selection is a hit or miss. Their shoe aisles tho are solid. Most of the time I walk out with new sneakers or boots in new condition. Bags and purses aisle is great too, so is the men’s jeans section!! Their men’s long sleeve/sweater/ hoodie section is great too. Huge selection of kitchen stuff. But anything in furniture or most of women’s section is either super old or overpriced. They do have a big chunk of the store dedicated to kids clothes and shoes!!!Overall, the prices are the highest out there for a thrift store in Ottawa. There are definitely cheaper places. But once in a while you can score a gem for $5-$9!!!Employees are so sweet and helpful. The store is quite busy all the time.

This store used to be good. So bad now. Can't try on clothes in June 2023. I call BS on that being about Covid. It saves them money and now they will never open change rooms again. Greed$35 for a Danier leather jacket would be good... if it did not have 3 huge cuts in it. Greed$3.99 for a Mason jar? Seriously!!!!! That is about 3x retail. 3 times!!! The 2x is for jar and lid, not 2 jars. Even if it were, that is still over retail. Shame.Greed!!Go to an actual charity thrift store instead of one that pretends to be. Lies and greed.

I've been thrifting for over a decade and this was always my favourite location in Ottawa, but recently I've found their clothing inventory to be so tacky and cheap, matched with a much higher price tag.. I will say their home section can have some interesting piece! Their handbag selection used to be great a few years ago but its always so picked over all the time now. I see a lot of resellers at this location as well, so many treasures and deals are scooped up quickly. I wish they had daily sales/ promos on certain tags like they do in the US. PS you'll be lucky to get parking in their lot. It's always full!
