Shoppers Drug Mart

I switched to shoppers from Costco pharmacy and they are slightly more expensive but they’ve been super helpful whenever I have questions and call them. They even helped me lower my cost by helping me figure out slightly slightly different dose from my current (just different size tablets but almost same dose) and sent the request to my doctor and my doctor approved my new dose recommended by my pharmacist at Shoppers and now I pay $40 less for my meds. No regret switching from Costco. Costco pharmacy never answers phone. Shoppers always answer my call and opens way later at night for convenience. And you also get pc points. Lastly, the pharmacists I’ve talked to here are so friendly and they are so helpful.

I came for a photo. The lady working as a cashier said she has no time for the photo. If you do not provide the service why don’t you write- WE DON’T DO PHOTOS UNTIL 11 am.It’s like I need to book an appointment to take a photo. She asked me to come back. Like really. Do you think I have nothing more to do than waiting for appointments for a picture. Come on SHOPPERS your staff are better than this.

Started using this location when I moved to the area. Service wasn't the best, wasn't the worst. At the beginning, they would never have my methylphenidate ready for my refill dates, and if I would call even the day before, the would say it was too early. On at least 7 occasions I couldn't get my meds the day I ran out. They fixed that and service has been decent until, a few months ago their online system began having glitches. For the last three months, the refills would disappear, or not show. I never got any answers only delays to my prescription being filled. Seemed to be ok today however, when I went to pick up my scripts, I had a case of pop and a tub of ice cream. I almost always grab a small thing or two. The super douche behind the counter, after scanning my prescriptions, refused to scan the other items. I don't care what the reason is, I'm done with that place, and if it's some stupid policy that shoppers has, i don't really need to go there. Dispensing fees are much lower at other places, as are the noses I would imagine.

The reason I am posting this poor review is because of the online app. Like why do I need such a specialized password for a prescription. Nobody cares what medication you take, I should be able to choose 6 as a password if I want abs not predetermined by the idiot system. Nobody is going to maliciously steal your cough and cold medicine. Also as well they never seem to have my refills on hand. If you know you have customers using certain medications you’d think you would always have one on hand

For canada post: Good to go if got time to waste.

I have been shopping there for over 10 years use to love going there 3 or 4 times a week. About month ago a new lady was working in the make up department and she followed me around every where I went. As result I didn't end up buying half the items I wanted she made me so uncomfortable. Last night my son who was racially profiled and followed around by security the guy was constantly right beside him. Will not shop there again.

I recently changed my glucose meter and had a new prescription for strips sent to the pharmacy. A few days later the pharmacy texted me saying the prescription was ready for pickup. I picked up the prescription but didn’t open the bag until a couple of days later. They had supplied the wrong strips for my new meter. When I went back to the pharmacy I was told by Christine one of the pharmacists she could refund or exchange for the correct strips.I’ve been a customer at this pharmacy for around 20 years. This is my first bad experience but it will be the last I’m moving to another pharmacy.

This review is only regarding Canada Post and how helpful Christine was. I was so anxious having to renew my U.S. passport by mail, and had a lot of questions, which she quickly and calmly answered every step of the way. I left the store feeling completely at ease and confident that my package was in order. If not for her excellent help and cool/confident/calm attitude, I would have been worrying about my passport and if I had mailed everything properly for weeks. She was very patient and kind with my nervous scatterbrained self. Thank you Christine! I highly recommend this Canada Post location if you want a quick and easy experience.

This is a really good pharmacy in a really good location. If you're on the Pembina strip, going here is a better idea than the Rexall up the street. They both have the regular selection of pharmacy stuff, but this one also has a large selection of food products and even electronics.
