RBJ Schlegel Park

Had a great day here!! Very large playing area with smaller playset for little ones(rubbery ground), and one set for bigger kids with more climbing experience(wood chips). Really nice Splashpad (pavement) with a ladybug waterdump (does not take long to fill which is nice) and LOTS of sprayers!!! Some shaded sitting areas in playground and splashpad areas. No public washrooms yet, but they are building washroom/changehouse between the two areas. Which will be nice and convenient when finished.A great way to cool down in summer heat!!

Will be amazing once the construction is done and their is washrooms but both my 1.5 and 3.5 yr old love it here, both have lots to play with between the sand, splash pad, both playgrounds for younger and older and the number of swings.

Google maps said the park was closed on Sunday but we went anyways and it was open. The bathroom is under construction so maybe that’s why it said closed? Either way, I found the photos were lacking. The park is amazing! We didn’t use the splash pad but will be back another day to do so! Lots of great climbing structures for kids of all ages- and a sand pit!

Beautiful park, kids just love it. Water park and playground area is great. Fenced, Safe and secure. Seating area is good as well..

Newer park in the city. Lots of facilities, cricket pitch, soccer, basketball, playground and splash pad. Still under construction as walking paths and main clubhouse" are still in-progress.Great for kids of all ages with shaded areas and places to eat."

Great for sports, great for kids. Not many picnic or just relaxing areas that are not in front of sport area or kids playing area. They are not done constructing it yet though. Washrooms and new basketball area almost done.

I recently visited RBJ Schlegel Park in Kitchener with my family, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The maintenance staff has done an excellent job of keeping the park grounds tidy and well-maintained. The pathways were clean and free from any litter, making it a pleasure to stroll around the park.One of the highlights for us was the splash pad. The kids absolutely loved it! The splash pad area was well-designed, safe, and provided hours of entertainment for the little ones. The water features were engaging and kept the children entertained and cool on a hot summer day. We were also pleased to see that the splash pad was regularly maintained and clean.Additionally, the park offered a well-equipped play area for kids. There were various play structures suitable for children of different ages. The equipment was in great condition, and safety seemed to be a top priority. It was delightful to see our children having a blast, climbing, sliding, and making new friends.Furthermore, the park's ambiance was pleasant and inviting. The surrounding green spaces were well-kept, providing a peaceful environment for picnics and relaxation. The park also had ample seating areas, picnic tables, and shaded spots, which were perfect for families to gather and enjoy a meal together.Overall, RBJ Schlegel Park in Kitchener is a hidden gem that offers a clean and well-maintained environment for families to enjoy. The splash pad and kids' play area are definite highlights that make it a go-to destination for parents with young children. We highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a fun-filled and family-friendly experience. Being on vacation with my family, I was trying to find some fun new places to go to.. I came across this complete gem of a park on Google! We live in Cambridge so it was about a 20 minute drive. One million percent worth it. A nice new big splash pad, beautiful playground and soon to be change rooms and washrooms. It also had quite a few spaces for us parents to relax in the shade. It's currently still under construction but when it's done it's going to be an amazing leisure recreation spot. I would highly recommend this place.
