GTs On The Beach ~ Open May - September!
The updated menu really WOWED us for many, many years now. Unfortunately, our Friday dinner was barely edible and I got food poisoning from my standard order: grilled perch tacos and Caesar salad. I was so disappointed because as soon as we were served we knew this was nothing like what we’ve ordered and loved countless times before. I regret eating it but I was too uncomfortable to send it back. Our tacos were not presented in the silver dividers and there was bagged carrots, cabbage and lettuce thrown on top. But it was the rancid bacon in the salad that made me physically sick for a couple of hours. It ruined an otherwise beautiful day of vacation. I’ll never be able to risk eating at GT’s ever again—and that’s sad because we usually go with friends many, many times throughout the summer whether we’re vacationing or making a day trip. Such a bummer.

Ambience of this restaurant is just incomparable. It is just by the beach, you can see the lake while sitting in the patio.The staff is super friendly and helpful.Ample variety of drinks and cocktails are available. Food was great, have been here couple of times and have tried and would recommend their burgers, as well as fish.

celebrated our mom’s birthday at GT’s with a party of 19 and we had a great time. The food was fresh and there were plenty of options. The service was exceptional and being right on the beach the atmosphere was awesome.

Food is very plain and basic, without much flavour. If you are a Canadian lacking culture and feel satisfied with fries and a sandwich that a 10 year old takes to school for lunch then this is a good place for you. If you want actual good quality food that doesn't take 2 minutes to prepare then look elsewhere. Don't waste your money here. Several of the waitresses also look like timid zombied out children that don't know which way is up.

I took my 2 kids out for dinner. My servers name was Cadence. She made me feel uncomfortable, questioning me if my kids were ‘really’ 10 years old. I’ve never experienced this before. The ambiance is beautiful. Some items on the menu are ok some are bad. Paid $24 for chicken teriyaki, it wasn’t chicken, it was such poor quality, brown minced meat. Fries are bland McCain style. Perch is great! They should offer different sides besides Fries and Salad. Also check your bill when you get it! I was charged extra and they had to adjust it to the price listed on the menu. I would go back for drinks and ambiance, just not for food.

Food took an hour. Other tables that arrived after us were served first. Waitress only came around 2 times in the hour we were waiting for food. Half of the food was cold and obviously had been sitting for a while. I complained and manager came over. She apologized and said was a new kitchen staff and asked what she could do. She said bill would be taken care of. After a few seconds she stated she could not read my mind and what did I want. I honestly did not register how passive aggressive this is and rude this statement was until I had left. Later she came back with 50% off of the bill. I paid it with a 20% tip as I do not believe was all the waitresses fault. Very very disappointed in the manager and how we were treated. Will never go back and will be sure to tell everyone I know. Also the prices are too high. The burgers were good but the fish and chips were bad. Very disappointed.

Great, and really large restaurant space on the sand. Sometimes hard to get a table because the place is usually packed, but they have so much staff the service is always great. The food is consistent and exactly what you want after a bit of heat stroke. Also fun blended cocktails.

Beautiful location, of course. That’s the main draw.The battered perch tacos had very little flavour at all.Water cups were dirty.The grilled perch tacos were much better. The salsa and the chicken fajitas were very delicious.Service was wonderful. Our server was friendly, helpful, and great with the kids, especially on a busy Canada Day.

GTs On The Beach ~ Open May - September!
Right on the beach, but has shade. Excellent food. My companions were meat eaters, I'm a vegetarian. They had an amazing selection for both. The service was fast and we had a super nice waiter. The food was really good. Would definitely go again. I already have plans to take a visitor there in July. I really can't think of anything negative to say.
