Budget Car Rental

So I went online to rent a car ..which said they had all kinds to rent and book and pay online ... Before I did I thought I should call ..glad I did the lady told me no they only have ,1 truck and laughed when I told her about the website ...she said call back at ,3 they might get a return (she should know she works there) just to notice they close at 3 ... Wow unprofessional... Go anywhere else is my suggestion

Charged me more than my original rate for an extra day even though I was told upon pick up that if I needed an additional day, I would be charged the same daily rate as I paid. The daily rate was $57 and they went and charged an additional day for over $70 some dollars.Return time was 11am but i was told that as long as I dropped the rental off before closing at 2pm it was fine. There was no mention that I would be charged an additional $70 some dollars for not being there by 11am. If I would have known that, I would have ensured I dropped it off before 11am!

We booked months in advance to reserve a mini van and we called a day prior to confirm we still have the mini van booked for the next day. Avis car rental said yes it's ready for us. When we got there to pick it up they had no mini vans for us. I had to wait for an hour and a half after the scheduled pick up time to get anything. Ended up getting a Ford flex which wasn't enough space so we left some stuff behind. I was there past their closing time and while I was waiting for the flex they turned the lights off on me. So I sat in the dark.

Wouldn't use this company if it was my only option in a secluded, snow storm in the arctic With nothing else in sight. Worst customer service and rules I've ever heard. Plan on moving with a truck go elsewhere, plan on a trip buy a car. It'll likely be cheaper.

Horrible customer service here. I initially called in because Enterprise did not have the car I needed at the time. My car got into accident so I went to this place last minute. I called ahead of time and went to pick up the car. After driving with an Uber I was told I could not get the car because I forgot my credit card. I gave him the details to my insurance company and what auto body my car was. I was stranded with no place to go. Stressful experience rude and unreasonable person. I ended up going back to Enterpise and received a rental the same day without the hassle of credit card. All they needed was deposit and address of the auto-body. I even got a ride back to the auto-body once my car was fixed. My insurance initially suggested I go to Enterprise so I should have not went to this low budget rental place. Enterprise Rental is amazing they really eased and try there best to make my experience good. I will be going there for future .This place is low budget just like the name. Save yourself the hassle and time wasted and rent from Enterprise Rental much more professional and understanding staff.

Horrible service and behavior provided by this rude man. Also not even say hello, hi, have a nice day. If he doesn't like his job or maybe immigrants or different rase he should be replaced with someone else.

Car was fine. I was told it had remote start but I couldn't get it to work. Also didn't have winter tires which I understand is normal for rental cars but seems kind of un safe to not have winter tires put on your rental fleet in Canada

Poor customer service. Their online policies are not up to date or “valid”. Wasted an Uber ride to pick up my rental that was paid in full. The guy working wouldn’t even let me finish talking before saying “no” and did not offer any alternative solutions. 0/10 would recommend. Thankful for the Turo app which was able to accommodate myself immediately.

BE VERY CAREFUL with Budget at the Edmonton Airport to Budget West End Edmonton. Were from Quebec, we rent a Jeep Cherokee, they didn't have it so we took a Sante Fe instead ... The lady at the Edmonton Airport Budget rental says that there was damaged in the front and the windshield. And now they try to charge us for a scratch on the bumper that was already there ! Another call later, they want to add the whole bumper $$$. My advice is always take photos before, the car was black and it's dark in the airport parking. Take the time. It ruined our vacations. Very bad service with Budget, tought it was a trustworthy company, but never again.

If you can I would suggest going to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car down the road from this place, at least they make the trip worth your time.Booked a rental with these people and went there to pick up the car. So far so good you would say, the good things stopped there though and the experience was pretty much downhill from there. Brought an international drivers license with me, which caused some mental 404 solution not found error with the person *helping* me.When it came to paying you get slapped with an unusually high reservation of $500. You have to agree with the deposit if you want the car, so begrudgingly I’m giving them my credit card. Only for the lady to have another mental 404 error and telling my credit card is apparently not a credit card?Either the people here are insanely competent financial masterminds, or they cannot for the life of them tell a credit card and debit card apart from each other. As the saying goes: ‘’If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.’’ → ‘’If it looks like a credit card, acts like a credit card, and is regulated like a credit card, then it's probably a credit card to everyone but these people.’’In short: 1/10 the only good point is that they are close to a way better Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
