We’ve had some positive experiences in this store. Tim as helpful when I bought my pole and reel the other year. Unfortunately today was not one. We went in to purchase another fishing rod and reel. Tim was not helpful at all. His responses were abrasive and short and he refused to answer our questions. After a few attempts and when he continuously walked away, we left. When I called back to address our experience and explain again that we were asking for his help, he told us to Google it and refused to help. Pretty disappointing for a small town. He’s lost our business and we will not be recommending him to others.

As another reviewer said, this is a little late"! My father and I came to the Longlac/ Nakina area a few times in about 1985/1986. We were from northern Indiana USA. Somehow my father had met Tim in the U.S. and had known him for a number of years

I must say this is a little late..my dad used to bring me up there 45 years ago i knew tims dad and i am pretty sure tim was a young man back then was looking. On the internet and seen they were still in business. .man brings back a lot of great memories..keep it up tim god bless you..

To start off, I work there. I have learned a lot of stuff about guns. Tim, his friendly, his a very good guy. My name is Mathieu so if you do ever come to the store and if you see me working I'd be glad to help you. I'm 13. There's a lot of cool things in the store! Example, camping gadgets, guns,fishing lures,hunting gadgets, and more!!!

My Family has been going to Skinners since the mid 1960's! We used to stay at DuVal's Cabins and also Rosie's Cabins back then. My Dad, Stefan Hoffmann, knew Mr. Skinner, Tim's father, and we visited every year thru the 1970's! My Dad also made the stained glass Tiffany Lamp hanging in the Skinner's home, opposite their shop! Our old license plate US IL #AS 9602 used to hang on the outside of the store! I haven't been there since 1992, but plan to visit in 2023!

Skinners Acre Bait & Tackle
Skinners is a great place. I loved going into his store this week and chatting. You will go there to buy tackle but come back for the conversation and atmosphere. He literally has everything you need in one place for your adventures in the bush. I can’t wait to go back again.
