Ruffin's Pet Centres - Fort Erie

Jodi was extremely helpful when i went in looking for supplies to save my lethargic betta. Within 4 days he was back to his attention loving active self again. She also explained i can add tank mates ,so i purchased 2 dalmatian mollies once my betta was better and the 3 fish are all living harmoniously.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They truly care about animals.I don't like that there arw birds in cages there but other than that, it's a great place.Good selection of good quality food and supplies.

Small store but pretty much everything you need for supplies. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Cages were clean and well kept. Average pricing. They also carry raw food for dogs. Small selection of fish.

Prices are much better elsewhere if you can get out of town. Only really good if you need things urgently. Half of the staff is helpful and nice. Most of the animals look taken care of properly, moreso than PetSmart.

Went with my boyfriend to get our dog food and decided to bring our 10 month old son, once I told the two ladies working that it was his first time in a pet store they went above and beyond to make sure his first pet store experience was amazing! Letting us pet the skinny pig Hank and showing him the tiny dwarf hamsters. Without a doubt the best customer service!

Grooming only :I have two giant breed dogs who are very nervous. The groomer walked out, didn’t greet me or my dogs or ask their names, just pointed and said “I’ll take that one”. I explained that one of my dogs is scared/shy and has a hard time with his feet getting touched, her immediate response was to say that if he growls she will need to muzzle him because it’s an act of aggression…then she asked if he would bite her when cutting his nails, and when I said no, she asked me if I was sure…like I didn’t know the temperament or behaviours of my own dog. My dog was laying on the floor, tail between his legs, crying and scared and she told me to not get upset because he was just having a tantrum and acting like a child. When I said that I thought he was don’t, she told me not to stop holding him.she made no efforts to ask anything about my dogs and didn’t seem to care that it was their first time getting their nails cut by her in a new space. The rest of the staff was lovely but this interaction made me very upset for my pets. Will not return, unfortunately.
