Overall this is a pretty solid place. All of the desserts I've had here have been quite good. I recently ordered the Tongue Depressor" which I thought would be too much chocolate but was not. Prices are a little high but the portions are easily shareable in my opinion. The water pitcher at the table is also greatly appreciated. The interior is also very cozy."

The presentation looked very good. The portion was large and they filled the plate with the toppings. I do feel that the waffle was a bit soggy even when I had first received it. The apple topping was delicious and very well prepared. The portion sizing was a bit too big as it was very difficult to eat the whole thing. The ice cream melted very fast and made the dish fairly cold quickly. A great dish for someone who can eat a bit faster than I can. But if you take your time eating it it does become quite soggy. The customer service wasn't fantastic at this location as the waitress never brought any water to the table until we were already paying our bill. But she was very polite and friendly. Overall it was a good experience.

I had an amazing experience at Demetres Whitby! Upon entering, we were greeted immediately and seated. Our host, Shawn, was wonderful with my son and helped pick out a fantastic waffle. The presentation was beautiful and portion size was massive! I ordered the tongue depressor and it was easily the best ice cream I've ever eaten. The waffle was incredible and my son absolutely loved the brownies. It was a nice treat to have and I'll definitely be back for date night!

We arrived for dessert in the evening and were seated quickly. We placed our order for the pomme pilot waffle and got it pretty quick. The waffle was big with lots of apples, and sweet crunchy crumble. The cold vanilla ice cream complimented the warm apple of the waffles. This was tasty and I would get it again. Overall the service was quick, friendly and the waffles delicious.

This Demetres location is a very busy one as it is located in a plaza along with a theatre and a bunch of gaming/activity venues.The desserts are awesome as every Demetres location. The atmosphere can at times be overwhelming or not very pleasant due to the high number of guests and the tables being not too far apart. We visit this location often hence the detailed information on atmosphere!The staff here is very friendly and helpful but there are times when they get unexpectedly busy and are running short on staff hence impacting the overall customer service.

This Demetres is delicious and has the best costumer service!! As soon as I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by staff and within 2 minutes of sitting down the server was at the table with cups and a large pitcher of water! The menu has a great variety of items and they are able to accommodate custom orders. I had a “Tongue Depressor” on a Belgian Waffle and subbed out the dark chocolate sauce for white chocolate sauce. The romantic environment combined with presentation of the waffle was picture perfect and did not disappoint one bit - it is totally Instagram worthy! Servers were also very attentive and when they noticed the pitcher of water was almost done they were already at the table bringing a new one. This is definitely one of the best dessert restaurants around!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The desserts here are super large portions, perfect for sharing. A nice spot for special occasions or just desserts. We enjoy sharing the Belgian waffle between 2-3 of us and it is the perfect amount. They also have high chairs available for little ones.

Loved our Belgian waffle. My mom usually doesn't like ice cream, but she loves the Roche ice cream! I really like that they allow you to customize at no charge making the perfect Belgian Waffle combination for your liking! Friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice since it wasn't too crowded on a weekday afternoon. Delicious desserts!

This was our first time eating at Demetres so I didn't know what to expect. I brought my family with me (I have 2 daughters, 8 and 4 yo). We were greeted with a smile by the staffs. It took us quite some time to decide what to order because of how pricey most of the foods are on the menu. We ended up up ordering an ice cream sandwich and a sundae. It turned out that the prices were reasonable compared to how big the servings were. One dessert was already enough for a family of four. Food presentation was really good. The desserts and ice creams tasted good but not that exceptional. The server provided us water right away and everything else that we needed before we even asked which was great. She also checked on us after we received the order. The location was easy to find, close to the theater so it's good for night coffee and desserts after watching a movie. I just noticed though, that although the place was not that busy, there were tables that were not cleaned yet. Also, there was only 1 staff that we saw preparing the order so it felt like it took a bit long for our order to be served. Overall, good experience. If we were to come back again, we would just order one dessert and share among the four of us.

I had a banana brûlée waffle and ice cream. Service was quick and efficient, we were seated after a short wait, the server made us feel welcomed. The waffle itself was delicious, and the presentation was visually appealing. Would come back again!
