Miss Eloise, awarded the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, has taught over 20,000 students, countless who went on to dance professionally all over the world. Miss Eloise is a dance icon in the province of Saskatchewan, and part of the Sitter dance legacy started by her mother, Mrs. Doris Sitter. Miss Eloise is known for her love of children, attention to detail, and commitment to her students and her studio. This is reflected in her work and in her staff. I danced at the studio for many, many years, taught at the studio, and was never more proud to enrol my son as a student. The studio holds our memories and our hearts. Those who strive for greatness and seek safe instruction that honours the body and dance as an art form must find their way to Sitter School of Dance.

Simply the best!!! I have been apart of the Sitter family for 40yrs….. I was trained by Doris Sitter, then began teaching for Eloise and still am !! The amount of knowledge I have gained over the years working with Eloise has been priceless! She has passed on her grace , patience and love of dance . I can’t imagine a better dance family to be apart of ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My daughter has been dancing at Sitter School of Dance since she was three – and that has been the best decision ever. Sitter has not only been a dance studio to her, it has become a part of our family. How true it is that “As the twig is bent so grows the tree!” Since joining the studio, our daughter is not only gaining the best dance skills and technique you could ask for, she is having fun, building friends, and developing amazing skills that will serve her well in the future… self-confidence, team work, commitment to be better and improve, to do your best and be your best, respect and camaraderie, perseverance and determination. After our daughter joined, our son also joined the studio out of admiration and awe from what he experienced through supporting her sister through recitals and competitions. Sitter is an amazing, fun and professional dance studio with top notch instructors. The environment is warm and welcoming to all and the instructors are extremely talented, kind and supportive and adapt to all levels and skills. If you are thinking of opening the doors of dancing to your little ones and for any child thinking of taking up dance classes, I could not think of a better place!! For a reason Sitter is Saskatoon’s premiere dance studio!

The quality of the instruction is good. However, the communication and working with families is not.Also, they do not notify families if students are having troubles in class or choreograph the dance to make parts for all students. They simply kick them out and remove them from teams, 10 days before competition, with no notice. They do this to 9 year old children. They do not provide the service that is paid for.

I danced with Sitter’s for 15 years and taught for Eloise for 6 years and have wonderful memories of my time there and all of the people. Beyond learning to dance, the focus on teamwork, commitment, work ethic, and achieving goals has shaped the rest of my life. I am honoured to be Sitter alumni and so grateful to still be welcomed as part of the Sitter dance family many years later!

Wonderful studio to dance at and great teachers that help dancers strive to do their best! My girls love going to dance and performing with their teammates.

Excellent dance studio! My daughter danced there for 15 years, and learned so much more than how to be a top notch dancer. (Many first place and dance offs wins by the way.) The drive and determination shows everyday in whatever she does, something she learned at dance, as well as setting goals and achieving them. Such a great dance family to belong to, highly recommend it.

Very disappointing. Children as young as 6 and 7 will be shamed and humiliated in front of their pears. Families will be lied to if they get any communication at all. Everything is last minute, costumes, schedules. There is no breakdown of cost just a number you pay cash or check. And you receive a hand written note (you know the ones from the dollar store). Very unprofessional. Bullying kids is so sad especially from a lady who’s been around this industry for over 45 years. She has her favourite and they get priority the rest get ignored and or kicked out days before competition and or recital with out explanation. I believe if you’re not happy with the kids dance ability that’s a reflection of the teacher not the kid. You’re only as good as your weakest student.Most reviews in seeing are are staff members :(Dying studio time to retire

FORMER DANCERI danced at Sitters School of Dance from age 8-18. Myself and parents regret it deeply.Here’s just a few reasons why:First, I remember Eloise accusing me of crying for attention when I was about 8 and was having difficulty with a tap combination. I was clearly in distress and instead of boosting my confidence she bullied me. Sadly I thought that was normal to be talked to/treated that way. I continued to let her treat me this way until I finally left.I also remember the year we did a dance to the song ‘Rasputin’ and one of the girls hats fell off during the number at competition. When she came off stage Eloise grabbed her by her costume and got in her face and said something to her before letting her go. I don’t know what was said but in my opinion now it was not appropriate for Eloise to grab a student/child like that. Again sadly apparently we thought this was normal. I think myself and this girl were about 14-15 at the time.It was also threatened that I would be taken out of small groups if I went on my school trip in grade 11 instead of grade 12. I missed out on seeing Brazil with my high school friends for that. I will never forgive Eloise for forcing me to choose between travelling and making lifelong memories with friends and my love of dancing and performing. Especially when I had a history of nearly perfect attendance. In my opinion it was completely unreasonable of her to deny me going in my grade 11 year versus grade 12. I came early to warm up to almost every class/rehearsal/exam/competition/ recital and spent every extra minute at the studio that I could. I was dedicated, professional and punctual and my mother volunteered at every single competition and recital. I can’t say the same for all of the students with the wealthiest parents. Yet those are always the children I found Eloise would give special treatment to.Trust me it’s not worth it. In my opinion special treatment is reserved for Eloise’s favourites and highest paying customers. I would never recommend this studio to anyone. Personally during my time at Sitter’s Eloise did not foster a safe and non-judgmental environment for growth and learning. I would advise you to save your money and your child’s mental health.

Outstanding studio! Thoughtfully designed instruction and topnotch instructors. Students show exceptional progress each year which is above and beyond other dance studios. Highly recommended! Best studio in Saskatoon hands down.
