The Dawg House Kennels

I cannot say enough good things about this kennel and the employees. My dog has been coming since they opened and we will continue going as long as we can! The staff are incredible and patient with my very vocal hound! They daily photo updates give owners peace of mind and I know my girl is always in good hands! For daycare, boarding, grooming and training.... this is the place to go!

I can't say enough good things about how this place has been for me. From daycare to groom/nail trims, products, classes. They're so kind and understanding and have been such a help with dealing with my dogs. Thank you so much Dawghouse. I'm happy to have you close to home. - Kelsey

My 2 big beasts love the Dawghouse. They are exhausted when I pick them up so I know they are keeping busy while I’m gone. I never worry about their safety or if they’re ok when I go on vacation because I know my boys are getting care and attention and my mind is at peace.What’s great is that we can have the boys groomed when they stay at the Dawghouse. It’s convenient and they look like a million bucks when I pick them up. I don’t know how Kelsea & Chloe do it but the nail trims are perfection. Love you guys!

Great grooming however inadequate customer service. Between underestimated quote times, poor communication from staff to dog owner, and disappointing response to why a grooming service took 6.5 hours – we will not be returning.Dropped off my Golden for a bath + groom service at 9am, lady at the desk quoted me 1-1.5 hours which was a very questionable quote time. Paid for the service with gratuity before leaving and left contact information for my friend that was to pick up my Golden due to other commitments I had scheduled for the reminder of the day.When I reached out to my friend around 2pm regarding how pick-up went for my Golden, I was told the Dawg House contacted my friend saying they were “running behind” at the 2 hour mark (11am). At this point, I was quite alarmed as my Golden had now been getting groomed for 5 hours (2pm). I then called the Dawg House twice hoping to discuss how my dog was doing – no reply. My friend then received a text at 3pm indicating my dog was “worked up” due to him being “so stressed”. At this point, I still had no communication from the staff myself so I decided to leave my meetings to drive there myself to get my dog as I just had been informed – 6 hours into a grooming service that my dog was not doing well. Quite frustrating to hear this so late into the day as no owner wants to hear after several hours that their dog is not doing well. Minutes before arriving there, I finally received a text from the groomer indicating that they had put my dog into a kennel dryer in response to his stress.When arriving at 3:30pm, I had asked the front desk to talk to the groomer and I was told they were just finishing up with him. 6.5 hours at this point. When the groomer had come out with my dog, she immediately reiterated her text to me and stated they were working on multiple dogs at a time therefore when my dog showed signs of stress, they put him in a kennel. Not comforting to hear as throwing a dog in a kennel can cause more stress, especially with our dog. I had asked about why there was no communication with myself (as the owner) as I would’ve picked him up after his bath and left the haircut portion for another time if he was not doing well.Another lady at the front desk who did not introduce herself cut into our conversation who just repeated what the groomer initially said. After some discussion of the service, I had asked if they thought it was acceptable to not communicate with the owner when a dog is not doing well and if they thought 6.5 hours for a grooming service was appropriate. To which their reply was they did what they could do.At this point, there was no action taken to remedy the situation. I was not looking for anything other than some compassion for the concern I had expressed and some sort of understanding from their end that not communicating with the owner was inappropriate. We’ve recommended people to the Dawg House on multiple previous occasions due to great grooming within appropriate length of service. Unfortunately, the unprofessionalism from this experience has discouraged our family of 3 dogs to continue supporting this business.

Such a beautiful building and location. We are greeted with a smile every time. I love the online booking system. Can’t say enough about how well trained the groomers are. Our dog has been though so many groomers and they have the skills to groom not only a cockapoo, but one with trauma and fear. So thankful to have found this business!

Rocket, a rescue pooch, adopted from Prairie Sky in Nov/2020 at about six months of age, has been attending The Dawg House since the spring of 2021. He is a sappy, very playful, lap dog who also struggles with “reactive fearful anxiety” from his days as a stray puppy, with varying triggers on any given day. The Dawg House has been his favourite place to feel safe and be himself when he is away from home. He loves everyone there and has many good dog buddies he loves playing with when he goes to daycare or boards overnight. The staff have gone above and beyond to make Rocket feel safe, happy, and loved, and have been patient and supportive (without judgement) of his fear of confined spaces. Rocket LOVES The Dawg House!This place has been absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend them enough! xx

One thing I love about The Dawg House is the wide range of services they provide. I love the convenience of getting Ivy groomed while she is attending Daycare. Chloe and Kelsea always send her home smelling & looking great.We’re currently in our third training class and Ivy and I have both learned so much! We can’t wait for her to start Tricks class in March! We love being apart of The Dawg House family ♥️

So happy with the groom service done by Chloe at the Dawg House! Both my dogs came out of their smelling and looking amazing! And neither showed any sign of stress, I could not be more happy! Thank you Chloe!

Bella has been going to The Dawg house for a few months now !She has gained a lot of confidence and is a more social since going to the Dawg house , a month ago we brought our puppy Jamie to The dawg house and has become very comfortable with other people and dogs !They both love this place !Cannot say enough good things !Plus they are loving the the puppy classes as well!Their tales are always wanging when they get there !
