Best Western Plus Waterloo

Do you believe it???!!They provide expired toothpaste!!!!I couldn’t believe if it is Canada, I don’t know if there are government authorities having control and monitoring these hotel services at Waterloo region or no!!!Being provided with expired toothpaste for four times and each time I would tell them either provide the toothpaste or remove these expired ones from your drawers but they would again provide me with the same toothpaste when I come next time. It is shocking !!!! Isn’t it?Very much unprofessional and rude staff including front desk employees, cleaning staff and the maintenance guy.If there were (-1)star I wouldn’t give them 0 star because they are less than zero. And the hotel is a total mess.With the expired toothpaste which they provide I doubt if the breakfast they provide is healthy because none of the items such as Jam, Honey, butter, and cheese have date mentioned on it.

There for a week. Hot tub broken the whole time. Had to ask them to turn on the heater for the pool. 6th floor very quiet until final night when a horde of young hockey players arrived . Kids ran screaming through the halls while the parents drank. Overall ok but ask about tournaments.

Awful stay. Check in with a team for a tournament and told they’re at capacity so a King bed for the family (& and AWFUL pull out couch) heater rattles and is loud making it hard to sleep. Shower is dirty. Toilet doesn’t flush.Try telling the front desk?Hmmmm - that equates to a mumbled message I couldn’t decode and they hung up.Lots of long-term residents here … kids running around screaming and riding the elevators …Just stay away and save your money.This has been an AWFUL stay … and we travel a lot for sports.EDIT: I came to learn the hotel houses long-term guests. It's unfortunate that there is no way to advise regular" customers of this. I appreciate the staff are doing the best they can & it really is sad that these long term occupants can't be held accountable for the damages

We had a nice clean room. Everything was in good working order. We didn't use the pool or other amenities so can't speak to that.Breakfast was included which consists of scrambled eggs, beans, sausage, hashbrowns (potatoes), cold hard boiled eggs, bagels/bread, make your own waffle (one machine), cereals and the usual coffee/tea and a juice.Staff were attentive and polite.We enjoyed our stay. We stay in the area once a year and I preferred this hotel to Days Inn or Super 8 in Guelph.

Stay away from this place dirty rooms no service. Very disrespectful and rude employees, they treat you as if they are the masters and customer is a slave, what do they think what era they live in??

Very bad place . Don’t stay there. Hotel personnel are always lying. I have asked them to clean my room several times during a week that I have stayed in the hotel, but every time they have made excuses. Instead cleaning, they lying. If I didn't have to, I would never stay here.Isn't it my turn to clean my room once a week? The hotel must has something to say because this is their job.

Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.We had our hotel room reservation cancelled with zero notice. Imagine arriving at the hotel, ready to check in and the front desk attendant tells you your reservation has been cancelled. Oh and by the way, it’s 9pm, you’re a long drive from home, and affordable hotel rooms are hard to find on such short notice. This was our experience with this Best Western hotel.For an organization that promotes its superior level of customer service, I can’t express how poor our customer service experience with this hotel has been. We reserved a room at this hotel for a night in early October, and following our poor experience I called the Corporate Customer Service line on October 10th. We still have yet to hear back from a manager at this hotel. I was told by Corporate that I would get a call back from the hotel in 2-5 business days. It’s been a month and still nothing. I’ve tried contacting their managers five times over the past month and conveniently their managers are always “busy”, “in a meeting”or “out for a walk”. Plus, when I was told to email one manager’s personal email for a quicker response, I still have yet to receive a response over a week later.I was really hoping this was an example of one bad experience with one Best Western hotel, but it just keeps getting worse. I wonder what corporate or even the media would think about this…Looking for a stress-free and enjoyable hotel experience? Look elsewhere.

I needed to return to Waterloo with my sons for a funeral and chose this location. Room was small but functional and served us well. Beds were comfortable, AC/heating served the room size well and the service was excellent. My sons said the breakfast spread, availability and choice of food was the best they have seen. We were very pleased with the service and all aspects of our short stay and we appreciate the attention that you extend to your patrons. When next we need to overstay in Waterloo, this will be our choice.

Went here for a weekend getaway in July. Our room was spacious, clean, and modern. Having a hot tub in the room was awesome. The store area on the main floor was well-stocked. The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. We didn't make it downstairs for breakfast but that was included.The price was a little high due to it being the Canada Day weekend but the person I was with booked through CAA, which helped with a discount.

Unfortunately the room we had wasn’t great. The bathtub had what looked like mild around it, under the handbar on the side was dark dirt, under the toilet seat area was again dark dirt, there was what looked like pretzels on the floor but we didn’t have pretzels and there was stains on the couch and paint chips in the air conditioner. There were a lot of people downstairs and in the hallways, kids running around everywhere. The only nice thing was it was right across from a mall and not to far from restaurants.
