This is a great shop with a large range of Japanese books. The staff is kind and there are many rare books for great prices! (especially considering shipping costs right now) My favorite purchase was Nekopanchi magazine it’s a magazine that has manga that are all centered around cats, there was only one but I hope there are more the next time I visit!

We went to J-town for the first time over the weekend and didn't expect that there were so many hidden gems in there. The Blue Tree Books has so many different variety of books, magazines, stationary supplies and home decor and so much more. The prices are reasonable considering that some of them are something you cannot find somewhere else. You would really want to spend longer time there to look for what you are interested in and you will for sure be distracted by so many other cute and interesting things around you. Definitely will come back again.

Amazing selection of manga, Japanese literature, educational books, and so much more! They frequently post limited specialty items, such as art books and magazines, that come in on their instagram.

Very nice selection of books and magazines. Love that they have just released magazines too. Around $20/mag which is fair given that that's how much you'd be paying online on Amazon JP anyway (and here you get your product right away). They even had the latest Arashi concert DVD - I never thought I would see that in Canada! They also have lots of used books for cheap prices- for example, I bought four old mangas for $1.50 each and they were in very good condition. Also bought a used copy of Harry Potter (Japanese edition) - this was $10. Considering how hard these books are to find, I'm very impressed with the prices. They also sell other things like stationery, bento boxes, little showpieces, etc. The space itself is a little small, so I'd recommend not carrying anything bulky with you when you come in. Can't wait to come back!
