I would have given a 5 star review because they be been going my taxes every year for at least 4/5 years. But I'm giving them a 2 because I've given them my paper work to try filling out my income taxes days before the deadline of May 1st. They told me no promises when it's going to get done but they'll contact me probably May 15th to 21st. It's been about 2 months now since I've dropped off and I haven't heard a peep out of them. I googled their hours that said they're open till 6pm. I've phoned about 4 times between 5 and 545pm and I kept getting the phone greeting. No one's answering. Usually GST goes out July 5th and here it is June 28th and I'd really like answers weather I'm getting something back. I guess my chief complaint is lack of communication and 2 months hearing nothing and getting nothing on my income tax return is really lacking. Not even sure if I could get my stuff back so I could get it filed by another place. If the phone lines are down then how do I know they closed and even doing anything for anyone anymore.

Initially I had good service when I went in and they seemed confident they would be able to fix everything in a timely fashion. However, it took weeks to hear back about an issue that would have taken about an hour at most". Email communication was extremely delayed. I recognize it was a busy time of the year

It was our first time filing tax return with J&T Income Tax and I highly recommend - excellent service and friendly staff! I had so many questions at the last minute but everything was promptly solved and processed. I think I missed one of my dental claims for the past year and not sure if I can ask for a help on that quickly though. Will definitely come back! !! Thank you!

Drop off now, no more quick cash back, don't even know if they do cash back, I believe now just file your tax return, for a fee, and now you wait for revenue Canada to process. Don't bother coming here for cash back, doesn't seem like they offer that service. H R Block if you want cash back. J T will call you back in 7 to 10 days (business??) To get your cash back. That's how long it takes cra to process your tax return. It seems like J T is waiting for cra to process your claim, send the refund to JT than JT issues you a cheque, all for a fee. That's not cash back, that's paying someone to do your tax return. H R block for cash back

First time taking my business to a tax services.. as I wanted my tax return professionally done. I dropped it off march 15th, I called 3 times during march and april. Each time they said it will be done in a week. They called april 7 requesting information and said it will be done in a few days. Waiting for the calls for weeks.Called may 1st. Turns out my taxes were done few weeks prior but no one called me to inform me it was done. I owe 19K to cra and now I might be slapped with 5% late fee because self employed taxes are suppose to be paid before april 30th but be filed before june 15. No one informed me of this.I understand mistakes happen but this was super not okay and might end up costing me a cra late fee ($950?)..all I got from the person giving back my tax return was “better pay it now” won’t be working with this company again sadly..Update: thanks for clarifying, on the form you attached/included in the package said to “pay $19,xxx before april 30, 2021” which raised the concern for me. (As the tax filing was submited may 1, 2021). I’m not sure if its a copy + paste/typo error for normal tax returns. For first time self employed/business owners who don’t know much about taxes it caused much grief as I thought I would owe cra the 5% penalty. I hope you get that fixed or explain it on the document more throughly. Changed review from 1 star to 3 stars. Only deducted 2 stars for lack of communication/miscommunication.Update 2: Bumped to 4 stars thanks for taking initiative to improving your business.

Would give zero stars, they messed up my name badly... Wouldn't recommend them.

Worst tax return I've ever had. Gave me no info or advice. Missed a huge opportunity to save thousands of dollars. Would never make the mistake of going to J and T again. Their clientele seemed rather destitute and in need of a cash advance- which I believe is their main source of revenue. J and T could stand for Just and Terrible. If you want to flush your money down the toilet then I'd recommend you go there. What a waste...they were quite friendly though

Right now it's just drop off for your income tax returns. The staff are considerate and professional and they told the other half and myself that we should get our returns in 2 weeks...

Have used them for a few years with reasonable results but had issues this year. Despite having our information for weeks, they completed our tax returns only four hours before the deadline.Update: To their credit, they returned the fees for our tax returns; a professional and classy move.

Best Tax service, when your starting your tax Journey For the first time or if you’re a tax expert this is a great place for a positive supportive environment with no judgment. Last year I had an employer who refused to pay me for two months and this dedicated team helped me through that difficult tax t4 submission. This year as i’m asking questions common law relationship and this dedicated team is one of the best in the city that I’ve gotten to know. If I had my way anybody I cared about would take this service to complete their taxes every year!Heads up send your taxes just before the end of February, sometimes in March and April they get very swamped however despite them being swamped their customer service doesn’t go down and they don’t rush you. Highly highly highly recommend this amazing group!!!!!!
