Not the first place you would expect to eat one of the best tasting meals of your life. Clean, inviting, very friendly and welcoming staff. Service was fantastic.However, the food was off the charts.Had the Salmon Poke, Chowder and Vinegar pie.So many layers to the flavours, fresh and well balanced.... so amazing. The chef and kitchen team made us art not just food.Second surprise.....the portions were not skimpy... rather satisfying. If you make to Twillingate you must eat here.

Canvas Cove Bistro
A welcoming restaurant with excellent dishes for dinner. We came on a Monday and we're given a simplified menu, as this is the chef's days-off of sorts. Still every dish that came out was very good. The fish soup was excellent and the Mussels superb. The shrimp dish was lesser but not bad.We liked the fact that they are very accommodating for kids and had a kid's meal even in the small menu. We strongly recommend this place for dinner when in Twillingate.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. It was the best meal I had in all of Newfoundland. They were a bit short staffed the night my father and I went, but Tony (who we think was the owner), took care of us. They were friendly for gluten free, able to provide gluten free bread with our soup and sub in gluten free pasta in our lobster dish. I will never forget the lobster pasta dish, it was one of the best I have ever had in my life. The sour ice cream was also great. They had good French wine on the menu, which is a plus. And, the view from their outdoor seating was excellent.

The best meal I’ve had in a long time and hands down the best place I’ve eaten in all of Newfoundland! Staff is friendly, decor is modern and thoughtful and the menu is incredible! They do take-away for lunch as well, so we had a gourmet meal as we stopped along our hike. Obviously we came back for dinner and the Burger + cod were delicious—the dessert was out of this world. Couldn’t decide on one so we shared a slice of vinegar pie (don’t be fooled, it’s sweet & tasty) and blueberry peach pie. Make sure to stop here if you’re in Twillingate, first-class bistro! ❤️
