The County Canteen
County Canteen catered our wedding on August 13, 2022. The staff, chef, and servers for County Canteen are great to work with. Scott, the owner, helped me pick out my menu and arranged all changes I decided to make as our big day approached. The food was wonderful, simply incredible. Many of our guests let me know how much they enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend the seafood station, silders and the brisket. The bbq sauce for the brisket was mouth watering. The wait staff were professional, friendly and so attentive. The food was high quality and you can tell it was prepared with care and love. We are lucky we can visit the restaurant to enjoy this delicious food anytime on Picton main street. Highly recommend!

An amazing place for a meal. Friendly and helpful staff who serve delicious fare. Ordered the Walt Burger and Fish n Chips for two of us, ended up being too loaded for dessert. Carrot cake and various pies were sadly passed by. Clean and quirky washroom too.

Got spur of the moment take out. The fish tacos and the to fat to fly chicken sandwich. Both were great. The hostess was friendly and honest about time to pick it up. Will certainly go back.

The County Canteen
We visited the County Canteen for dinner last night. It's a popular place and was a full house when we arrived at 7pm. You can't make reservations but they put us on a waiting list and called an hour later to say our table was ready. The service was great - Candace was our server and she was attentive, helpful and friendly. The fish tacos were quite possibly the best I've ever tasted. They were plentiful and the fish was delicious! My husband loved his chicken burger and local craft beer. The live entertainment was great too. I can't remember the entertainer's name but he was very talented on the piano and we enjoyed a good sing along!

Right in the heart of Picton. Excellent seating. Inside seems like a good atmosphere but we sat in the little indoor/outdoor area, I don't know what to call it but it was a great space outside but completely covered with heaters set up if it did get a little cool. They also have a few sidewalk patio seats which is nice. Service was fine. Very good drink selection. We had the nachos and they were excellent. We got them with the braised beef and would choose something else next time as it just wasn't for us but worth a try. The Cubano Rolls were a favorite. A completely different flavor for us and were a very nice surprise. We also shared the county Philly and although the bread was delicious, it did fall apart very easily with the mess of a sandwich so was just a messy eat but still delicious. We absolutely loved the herb blend on the fries and dipped them in garlic aioli which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Staff was very friendly, food was VERY good! Had the Bruschetta, Fish Tacos and Taco Salad. I will definitely be returning over the summer. Great selection of craft beers!

First time to this restaurant. Like the ambience. We sat at the bar and it was a great choice to be able to talk with the servers. Great meal , we had their stew that's me in their menu. We will definitely go back again.
