Amazing food. Very fresh. I ordered the Vegetarian Combo Platter , Extra Vegetarian Combination & Extra Injera/roll for delivery, an hour before they closed. The food was hot & fresh when it arrived. Amazing quality, quantity & price. Definitely will be ordering again.

Very nice restaurant especially for a group outing as you can see by the big platters in the pictures. The food is very very good and if you like spicy food it's even better! The Injera is very yummy and being a hands on experience it really helps get a taste of everything.I'd definitely recommend this place to friends a family. The service was very polite as well, and happy to help and answer questions on the dishes. The ambience is comfy too - there's art all around and there's news behind the bar if you want to watch.Beer drinkers will be happy you can get Stella here too!

Best Ethiopian in Ottawa! Their veggie selection (and flavour) is unmatched and the staff are always so kind and accommodating. And at such an amazing deal too!

We waited over an hour for 3 plates to make it to the table and the restaurant wasn’t event half full - note that there are only about 10 tables, so whatever was going on in the kitchen is beyond me. The food is pretty good if you don’t mind waiting an hour for it. The vibe is OK, but it’s cheaply built and the seating and tables are uncomfortable considering how long the wait is. The service was just awful. No refill of the water until the food arrived. Ordered beer but that didn’t come for 45 minutes because the 3 servers all appeared to be in middle school and it wasn’t until an adult man came through and socialized with another table for 10 minutes before we could have our drinks served. He left promptly and we never got the second round we ordered either.Summary, food pretty tasty, everything else was about the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Brutal way to run a business.

The best Ethiopian food ever !! Wow their lamb and beef were amazing !!If you try the coffee here you will never have coffee anywhere else !! It’s worth the wait !!Must try Ethiopian food !!Mathew was great at customer service !!

First discovered Hareg about 7 years ago and have loved it ever since! Good prices, great gluten free and vegan food. Healthy and filling. If you’ve never tried Ethiopian food give them a try!

Great food, and was pleasantly surprised. Stumbled upon it while walking Bank.Excellent flavours, and what you'd expect from an Ethiopian restaurant. Injera nice and sour.I wish I had taken a picture of the combination platter with all the items, beautiful presentation, and many different flavours to pick at. Forgot to picture it, but the many other reviews will show what to expect.I did notice that the food was a bit lighter. I'm thinking maybe lighter on the ghee? But very tasty nonetheless and some may prefer the lighter feel.Did not have the coffee, it's a much stronger darker roast so be ready for bold flavours. Not for me, but may still try next time (cause I willing be there again.)In any case, wash your hands and don't be afraid to dig in. You'll love it.(Adorable family too. Wish you all the best.)

We ate Ethiopian food for the first time and it was everything we expected and beyond! Family run restaurant and the owners were super lovely, offered free traditional coffee at the end. 10/10 would get recommend if you looking to try new food full of flavours explosion and spices.

Ordered a beef dish and coffee here and both were very tasty, while decor and aesthetics were very nice. However, portions were fairly small for the price and service slow. This restaurant is probably best experienced with a group, since Ethiopian food is meant to be shared with others.
