We went on Dec 22,2002 and experienced worst experience of our life as couple. Receptionist was informed that patient is diabetic and she agreed to cover by OHIP but after exam she and the doc Zara Shaukat started to ask money or fax from family doctor or Medicines as proof of diabetic s. We said that why the receptionist didn’t tell us when booking the appointment that you guys will ask proof. My wife does not speak English well and does not know the meaning of OHIP and diabetic cause we call this disease “ sugar” back home. We were never told about the fee till after exam and were confirmed during multiple calls from receptionist to get correct health card no and running in system and then confirming us that coverage will be from OHIP since patient didn’t saw an optometrist during past year.So obviously we were not ready for that surprise. We called the doc and left voice message to fax them notes. We have 4 little kids between 5 years and 9 years and we’re with neighbour who has to go to job. We requested neighbour from 12-1 pm window so we said that we want to leave but will bring you back the medicines within an hour but the receptionist came in front of us and tried to lock the door and said that she will not let us leave. Instead she ia going to call police. When we still leaving then she said very bad words to usWe emailed them the picture of medicine and doc’s notes after couple of hours and requested apology from receptionist only even though doc was also not kind to us and said a bad word for us.Anyway doc Zara Shaukat emailed me a while ago that receptionist will call me shortly to apologize but just before this review she emailed again that no apology is being offered. Why receptionist didn’t charge us before sending us to doc. And in fact never talked about any $ amount but coverage thru OHIP and patient last one year visit to optometrist “yes” or No”. That is all she was concerned. Patient even meets another eligibility criteria “ visual field defects” to be covered by OHIP.They scam customers in this way by giving them assurance in start that OHIP will cover then don’t let them leave the office till getting money and for money they threat of police to patients. They have video and audio recording in the faculty as per email of Dr. Zara Shaukat to me which can be listened and viewed. We were not having any money or credit card with us at that time because we were not expecting 1%.After this horrible experience we could not sleep the whole last night. Today is Dec 23 and our visit was dec 22. I emailed to doc Zara Shaukat and told her in detail about our experience and it’s after effects on us. I myself have not yet taken the breakfast. My weight is significantly low this morning since I myself has complex and severe medical conditions. My wife who was the patient is extremely worried about me since I’m not doing well after this. We are feeling very bad that how poorly we were treated and don’t deserve even an apology. So to save public from such experience I’m choosing to write this review. Decision is yours.ANOTHER SURPRISE WE RECEIVED WHEN we checked the prescriptions, they all were having name and signature of another doctor who was even NOT in the premises so it was a major concern to us because which doctor will be responsible if the given vision prescription has errors resulting an accident or prescribed “ steroids” have overdose and patient becomes blind as result. Who should be sued hypothetically saying , either dr. Zarish Shaukat who actually examined the patient or dr Saleem khan who was not even there. Walmart pharmacist was concerned and said about one prescription that it should not be used for eye and said that he will fax it to optometrist to make sure and also about other prescription that was steroids , he said please it can cause her cantina disease very soon. Dr Zara Shaukat wrote today that she has written Agrement with dr Saleem khan about it which authorize that she can write prescription drugs and vision glass prescriptions even he is away. It does not make sense!!

Very happy with my experience at this location. Employees were very patient with me and did a great job helping me pick the perfect glasses. However there were some issues with the tinting of my lense at first but all was good in the end. The fixed them to my satisfaction with no trouble. Definitely recommend this location

I went to Dr. Khan with a pink eye infection and he gave me the relevant medication, which helped me a lot in the recovery process. He has experience of an Opthamologist from back home, which is in favor of the people who go and see him as he can identify the issues and concerns immediately as he is very competent.I would highly recommend Dr. Khan to everyone as he is an excellent and experienced Optometrist. His team is also very friendly, caring and the best part is that they accommodate you if you are in a rush to see the Doctor.Thank you

I’m writing this in regards to the most recent reviews I just noticed on ‘ Brampton Eyes Clinic ‘ from these 2 individuals’ Faryal & Amir ‘ because I visit ‘ Brampton Eyes ‘ more than usual.I’m a witness of what exactly happened there because I was on a call with the staff at the time these 2 individuals ‘ Faryal & Amir ‘ but the guy mostly, were arguing about not paying the check-up fee to the Clinic. They were unable to provide any required evidence ( whatever the clinic staff was requesting ) to cover them under OHIP & that lead to these 2 individuals leaving the premises without paying. As a legal advisor myself, all I know is that if someone’s unable to provide evidence about their concern, that is considered a HOAX, not a serious allegation to be concerned about. The staff was very respectful throughout and especially Dr Zarish & their receptionist because I heard the whole conversation they had. That’s the reason why most of the reviews about the Clinic are positive & they shouldn’t worry about such individuals who do all this on purpose & try to demean the corporation’s integrity. Thanks ‘ Brampton Eyes ‘ for helping to community and do what you do the best!

I visited Brampton Eyes for my Diabetes Eye check up and vision check. Being a doctor myself and previously being treated in the UK, I found Dr Saleem Khan to be very thorough and extremely competent. He carried out a very detailed examination and explained all his findings to me. He formed a detailed plan of action to keep my eyes healthy in the future. The receptionist and the assistants were very professional and polite too. The clinic itself is sparkling clean and very spacious with ample parking space. Very Highly recommended.
