Iguana Sushi Bar
The sushi wasn't the best and I have had sushi almost everywhere. The staff were GREAT however and atmosphere was good but was not worth the money. Unfortunately I will not go back just due to taste. The spicy sauce wasn't good at all. Not the typical sauce you get other places.

I live in Etobicoke, and I'm jealous that I don't live in Windsor any more after having just ate here on Easter weekend. The Sushi was absolute fantastic. The Veggie Blossom roll had the most flavourful Chinese chives I've ever tasted - what a burst of flavour - and the Black Widow was the best I ever had - the sauces, smoked salmon, panko and everything was amazing. The rice, fish and vegetables are all totally fresh - top notch ingredients that warrant the prices. Iguana, I will miss you - and you'll have my business the next time I visit Windsor! They serve amazing sushi and it's totally well-worth the money.

The atmosphere and music was great! The food and service.... Well....The tempura was very heavy and saucy, and the sushi rice was completely tasteless. So overall, the food was not that impressive. Sorry to the cute guy with the man bun working behind the sushi bar!!I also think their special iguana sauce may have a sesame/peanut base?? I'm not sure, but definitely check if you have allergies!The waiters were not super positive or outgoing, but our female waiter was really good at keeping up with our water and whatnot.

Iguana Sushi is one of my favorite sushi restaurants of all time. Its small and tucked away but it has amazing high quality food with good service and fantastic atmosphere. Also, as is most important with sushi, Iguana offers fresh food at a good price.

It pains me to write this review. But, lithe past couple years this place has gone down hill. The wait staff is terrible, even when it’s not busy at all they’re (they) are not attentive at all. The food is mediocre compared to what it used to be when it first opened.Totally not with spending that kind of money for such mediocre food.Another bummer, they have gotten so incredibly cheap with the iguana sauce it’s ridiculous.Sorry guys, won’t ever come back.

My wife and I have always loved their sushi. We gave them three chances. Twice our take out order has been wrong. Was charged extra to add an ingredient that wasn't there. Got home to no chop sticks, napkins, or sauce on the side. And one time while we walked in hours before they were due to close, they served us water then told us because it was slow they were going to close early. We were paying customers sitting there ready to order. Enough. Not worth over priced sushi with rude staff that can't get an order right.

I have gone in the past and it was good. But this past time to was terrible. The waitress and very nice and good atmosphere however the sushi was poor quality and overpriced, all the rolls were mainly imitation crab. Also ordered miso soup and it was cold, sent it back and was just warm the second time. There was also dirty sauce bowls on the table when we sat down (all 4) at the table we had reserved.

There was a time when Iguana was the only sushi joint in this little town but now there are great sushi places all over the city.Its a shame Iguana has not even tried to keep up, their sushi is the worst that I have had in the Windsor/Essex area, portions were bad, prices were stupid high and even just the taste, not very good.If Iguana cant change (and fast) I cant imagine it being in business for the long run.

This place has been around for a long time and still serves some excellent Sushi. The offerings are different than the usual Sushi places, and the fish is always fresh. Pair it with some Iguana sauce and you have an excellent meal. They also have a fair sized patio for outdoor enjoyment. Be advised though that they only accept cash.

Prices seem high but the portions make up for it. Good sushi, all with an unique twist that you won't find elsewhere in Windsor. Worth going back to try new takes on menu items that seem same-old-same-old, but turn out to be bigger and better than other sushi places.
