I have completed both Blended Fire 1/2 and EMR at FESTI now and I couldnt recommend a better program. All of the instructors are professional, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.As for EMR, I completed the first weekend course that they offered and Jen was nothing but amazing. She takes what seems to be a very confusing and complicated course and simplifies it for everyone to understand.If you are considering going into Fire as a career, FESTI should be your only choice.

I attended FESTI's blended program which consists of an online component and 4 weeks in school instruction (I would say in class but you're rarely in class!! Out on the fireground practicing your skills). The experience was amazing! The instructors are top notch with a wealth of knowledge and really ensure you know what you need to know. I was lucky to work with such a great group of classmates who came together quickly in our crew teams. We were all sad to leave but excited to take the next steps towards pursuing our careers in firefighting. Cannot hesitate to recommend this program enough!

I've heard excellent things about the program from firefighters as well as graduates however trying to schedule a visit or receive a call back from reception is a disaster. We've been trying for nearly 2 months to book a site visit through our high school. Rarely is the phone answered and leaving a message is pretty hopeless. The person responsible for reception and admissions doesn't return calls and doesn't follow up on anything with respect to student visits. Should I be successful in booking a site visit for prospective students I will update the review. We have put in calls from 3 separate people, left multiple messages and have only received a call back on one occasion.

What a cool experience! Action packed time especially during the live burn week. The best captains and instructors you will find hands down.

Absolutely unreal School to attend.Amazing staff, amazing training ground, amazing experience.Would definitely recommend attending here, even if you're from out of town.

It's easy to be considered the best in Canada... but in comparison to the USA, it a drop in the pool. Mind you, the funding is much smaller. Small group of guys for the OFAI testing and the culture reflects the general fire service. They are in the boys club and you can see the comments and looks when a young woman is breaking her back to pass... and the club silently (but very obviously) disapproves. You can smell it. In the end, who else will they get to work this job?.. The senior staff is AMAZING and the coordinators and super professional and friendly. I guess with age, comes a lack of ego in this instance.

Alumni of FESTI, I have taken multiple courses from FESTI because of the Leaders and their knowledge, expertise and real life experiences that have properly trained and prepared me. The atmosphere at FESTI is something that is magnetizing, every time I walk out of those doors I feel like I have become a better person & firefighter. Their OFAI testing staff and the organization of the testing days are extremely well put together. The proctors take the time to explain to you everything to be done and make it clear, and the overall layout and organization of the day is really well put together. Everything around me throughout the day helped me to successfully pass all testing on my first try.

I just completed the 4-weekend EMR course at FESTI. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it!The facilities were awesome and the learning was a good mix of theory and practical hands-on scenarios.Jen was a world-class instructor. Her approach to teaching the knowledge and skills needed for success was amazing and made the course way more enjoyable than I thought it would be. 5/5 all around.
