Alternate Grounds Dockside
Such a great spot to enjoy with your favourite company. We went mid afternoon,so we missed the lunch and supper rush on the deck! Our server was super, very efficient and look after us really well. The vibe was chill, the boats out front of us were gorgeous, just an excellent spot to enjoy the water's edge. The chicken tenders are the best! Enjoy your own experience!

Dockside is great for the atmosphere and has decent food. On our most recent visit I tried their “Jake’s Pick” burger with an extra patty and my partner had the meatball sub. Both items were good although the portion size of the sub was on the smaller side. Overall it was a decent experience at a decent price point.

Went here for a nice dinner with some friends as we were staying in Sarnia for a night. This restaurant has great dockside views of the harbour where people park their private motor boats.The service was prompt and friendly, I got the Ruben sandwich that comes with fries and a choice of gravy or cheese sauce.Portion sizes were HUGE! The sandwich contained smoked meat and sauerkraut and some Dijon mustard sauce and was very flavourful. The fries were super fresh and the most largest serving of fries I've ever been served at an actual restaurant. My friends went with the fish and chips which were large in portion size also.Overall, the food was fantastic fantastic prices were reasonable for current day market value. I highly recommend eating here if you are ever in the town.

I'm really disappointed that I've lived in Sarnia for 6 years and it took me this long to come here. I took my bf for father's Day brunch. The wait was not long at all (and well worth it). Our server was friendly and attentive. We both had eggs, Benny (his lobster, mine on portebello), and it was perfectly done. You felt at peace" eating there by the water. You didn't care about the time it took for your food as you enjoyed the scenery and place. Also

Have to say one thing the BLAT on the menu says first thing, loads of bacon well I guess at dockside this means 2 pieces. They really need to eliminate the word loads off the menu as this is very wrong. Beware.

We saw a busy footfall at this restaurant while we waited for a table, just to realize how quick the food and service is considering how busy it was. Undoubtedly an amazing location and the food was delicately presented and tasted divine. We had Fish & Fries, Pad Thai and Kids Chicken Tenders. Overall they operated the whole flow pretty organized

We were passing through Sarnia and stopped to see the Tall Ships at Centennial Park and were so glad we stayed for dinner at the Alternate Grounds Dockside at the marina. It is a wonderful location right on the water with a beautiful view of Sarnia Bay. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a table outside on the dock, on this night there was a live band playing, the sun was shining, boats sailing into the marina, the atmosphere was fantastic and fortunately the food was great too. The dinner menu was very eclectic, unique fair that screamed out try me first!" We started with salads that came with our meal

Decided to give them a try so I ordered take out. I hot the Lobster Roll and a small greek salad.Staff was very friendly on the phone and at pick up. Lobster roll was awesome, I would recommend.Next time I will dine in and enjoy the view. Very busy place!!

Just went at the start of the season on a nice evening. Tried the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The flavors were decent, but the portion size was absolutely tiny. For a dish listed on their Main" category
