I saw so many great reviews and I really wanted to like them. This is just our experience. If you have unlimited funds and don’t care about signing a very one-sided contract I think you’ll have no issues using Earth and Sole.Their prices are inflated. So inflated we ended up completing our project for less than half the cost they quoted. When we had questioned them about their pricing they would deflect and not actually explain how they got there. Imagine wanting to shorten a fairly new/small deck and being charged $1800 just for materials. They explained that they needed lumber for the sides but we had additional lumber for them to use for that. That was just material costs it didn’t include what they wanted for labour which was also an absurd amount. I didn’t realize how much they were price gouging until I started meeting with other contractors and they quoted me 1/4th of the price for labour and it included materials (shortening a deck = taking away materials).They have a very one-sided contract. Imagine being expected to give them 50% of the inflated quote they provide and have the contract not indicate an estimated start date. They could take your money and not start working on it until next year if they wanted. We understand delays happen and that can be written into the contract, but to give them so much money and not have any date written only benefits them.They also have in their contract if material costs exceed the amount quoted they can charge you for the remainder which is completely fair, but what if materials don’t cost nearly as much as they quoted? They keep it all. That is why their quotes are so inflated because no matter what they reap all the benefits. Maybe that’s how everyone makes money, but I almost wish they would be honest and charge a fee for working with them than inflating all costs.They also stated that there is no warranty whatsoever even though manufacturers provide a warranty. When asked if we could purchase the material ourselves so we could get the benefit of having a warranty they got defensive and upset.I don’t like writing negative reviews, but if this can save just one person who maybe doesn’t know how much things should cost and don’t have unlimited funds it’s worth it.

We asked Earth and Sole to quote on our large front yard project and were impressed by their professionalism and quoting process. They were thorough and offered suggestions to help us stay within our budget. Earth and Sole was our first choice to work with for our front yard project. Unfortunately for us, they were booking clients a bit further than we could wait (we were expecting and wanted the work done before the due date). I recommend having Earth and Sole come in early to be a part of your project. Now that our front yard is almost done, we do wish we could have waited as I believe the quality of work would likely have been higher than we received. I hope to be able to work with them for our backyard landscaping.
